  • Easy assembly
Great product, great buoyancy won’t capsize on big waves. Great durability and will float for days.

  • Little rocky when standing but overall love it.
Definitely enough space for 2 we had it loaded up first time out with cooler. Decided not to install the chair just yet but used little tripod and cooler to sit on. Second time out we had chairs installed with much improvement of stability and comfort. Definitely rocky when 2 people are standing and trying to move around. Loaded it up fully build in bed of F150 no problem. Definitely customizable. Little hard to keep her in a straight line with paddles going backwards but forwards no problem. She cruises pretty good. Possibly going to install a troll motor next. Nice little boat with some space to move around. Love the storage it comes with. Had to get 4 longer M8 bolts for middle section where ore mounts are but overall good design ... show more

  • Damaged and missing or broken parts.
I just received the Aquos 11.5ft boat today. The box was in really bad shape, the bag to carry the boat in was torn, the floor boards were bent up or broken at the corners. The big bag that hangs on the side is missing and the packaging was poor. I was going to return it but decided to try to see if it could be salvaged since I am taking my daughter camping the 4th of July weekend and getting it replaced by then would likely be impossible. If the floorboards were not all bent up, it would have likely went together much more smoothly. Instead, I had to bend and do the best I could to get it together. Luckily, the boat held air. I will update my review once I have taken it out on the water. I realize the damage is probably from shipping. Aquos stood behind their product and made things right. I highly recommend this boat to anyone wanting to be on the water in a sturdy boat. ... show more

  • Their M8*30 screws are too short. Could cause oarlocks to collapse.
Terrible engineering. The screws are too short for the middle section where oarlocks go on top of the plastic connectors. All they could've done was to add 4 screws that are a few millimeters longer that their included standard M8*30. Spoiler alert. What a way to ruin an experience.

  • Think Before You Purchase
Please note that this is MY experience with this boat. Let me be clear that the boats and their quality are very good. They are steady, it keeps you afloat and you can comfortably fish. I'm 6ft and 260lbs, and I'm pretty comfortable. I've taken my boat out 4 times for full day fishing trips. There's just some issues that I wish someone would have mentioned before I made this commitment. What I mean by "Think Before You Purchase" is that you need to think about EVERYTHING! Not just the boat itself (which is perfectly fine and does what it says it does) but storage, add-ons/modifications, weight, your intended use etc. I live in an apartment, and this boat was the solution to my problem of owning a fishing boat! I bought the Heavy-Duty version because my end result (modified) version of this boat was to be used all day at big lakes in my area, to be self sufficient for a full day of fishing. Build time.... if you use this boat "as is" with oars a seat and no add-ons, then yes it goes together pretty fast. I put 2 boats together in about 1 hour 20 minutes. But if you want a motor, you need a battery (Marine batteries are freaking heavy!), extra seat, extra rails, ice chest, rods, tackle box (or boxes) and anything else you will need, your build can add up to 2 hours! Then it's very very heavy! I'm not sure about all lakes, but building right on the boat launch so you're right on the water might not be acceptable to lake staff or other boaters. In California, you must register boats with ANY type of motor and lakes only allow launching from a designated boat ramp. Weight is a definite issue! If they sold a portable boat cart specifically for these boats that folded up nicely and didn't take up much space..... I WOULD BUY IT! Speaking of weight. The parts of this boat, on their own are HEAVY! As I said, I'm in an apartment, my car is not right next to my door, so I have to carry these things up and down (remember, you have to store it when you get home). If you get the larger, heavy-duty models, you better not just have a Prius, it won't fit. I have a Hyundai Tuscon and (with all the extras) it takes up the entire back, seats folded down. I've bought a large duffle bag to carry pontoons and poles, a large storage box for all the misc parts, a folding dolly just for my trolling marine battery, plus my rods, tackle boxes and food/drink coolers and a 55lbs thrust trolling motor! This is why I say THINK before you buy! Another issue was that some of the bolt lengths were too short, especially for where the oar holders attach where you need that extra 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Some of the bolts weren't great quality to attach the seats, so those had to be replaced. I'm not talking about a bag of bolts from Home Depot that cost $4.99, you need bolts that are strong and won't rust. Stainless steel bolts and washers are expensive! And finally storage! I'm aware that lots of people have houses and garages and space, but I'm talking to those that do not! You're gonna need a pretty good size space to store parts and accessories. So be aware of that. For the Heavy-Duty models, the nice little back pack that stores everything is not happening. On a side note, some people concern themselves with..... should I get an electric pump or just use the foot pump that's supplied? I've used both, of course an electric pump is better, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The foot pump works perfectly fine. ... show more

  • Junk, bad customer service
Horrible customer service, told me the boat i ordered has been discontinued for several years and I purchased it 3 years ago for almost $1700. No replacement parts available! Only compensation offered for an unfixable leak was 15% off a im sure soon to be discontinued model. Save your money. The amount you spend on this you can get a sweet old Towne kayak with a motor. ... show more

  • A lot of fun
Know that you will receive screws that are too short for the oar mount. Plan on going to a hardware store and buying 4 m8 35 screws. Other than that, it goes together pretty fast. The heaviest parts are the panels and marine batteries and motor. Together, it's pretty heavy to try to carry. We bought a garden cart and aluminum tubes to make a little trailer for when we can't park near the shore. The rails are very helpful to keep from falling. It is pretty stable but someone else stumbling will make it rock and you can take a tumble. ... show more
