I know these are used mostly for data transfer. I use this Apple Thunderbolt cable for my IPad Pro 2022 model. The IPad came with 20w charger and standard1 meter USB-C to USB-C. This Thunderbolt cable is thicker and I'm using with 96w charger to fast charge Ipad. Charges on average in half the time of the 20w that came with IPad Pro 11" 2022 model. I know the cost is considerable higher, but the thicker cable at 3 meter in length, I wouldn't think of using the thinner white standard cable for that much wattage. Be safe, use better cable.

I use this to connect a PC TB4 card (not directly to my motherboard but a PCIE card slot) to my Lynx Aurora n converters TB3 connection. A prior Startech TB cable did not work at all, this has worked flawlessly!

Cable came in already open box with Apple's safeguard seal removed. The cable had thumbprints on the connectors and seemed to have been pried open (or an attempt to) at the connector head. Super disappointing and no way I can safely or confidently plug this into my computer - I would watch out for anybody buying this with current malware practices via Thunderbolt / USB.

I have a LG 34BK95U-W monitor (wide 5k by 2k) connected to MacBook Pro. With the old quality thunderbolt cable, every so often the screen would 'blink' and would never work reliably on DisplayPort version 1.4 setting (had to go to 1.2 without sound etc). I suspect it was due to my short passive thunderbolt 3 cable. With the new Apple Thunderbolt 4 cable, my picture is rock solid, not blinks, monitor works great on DisplayPort 1.4 setting. Its a high quality ACTIVE cable (ie it does have Intel signal conditioning chips inside the connectors) that works perfectly. If you have a high res monitor and don't want to have to deal with typical passive cable issues, get this one and you will be having one less tech headache in the future... This cable is fully compatible with all previous usb-c connector cable standards.
