  • Solved my issues with Dell U3818DW Monitor
I have a Dell U3818DW monitor that when connected to my MacBook Pro through USB-C would disconnect when the laptop charge was below 90%. Other cables were not able to support the data and power delivery at the same time. So, the monitor would disconnect and reconnect. I tried many other brands of USB-C and Thunderbolt cables (both Thunderbolt 3 and 4) and they all had the same issue. To the point I even bought a Thunderbolt dock and used the HDMI connection to the monitor. I got tired of using the dock and decided to try the OEM Apple cable and I'm glad I did. I really should have bought it sooner, it would have saved me money on th Thunderbolt dock I bought. Highly recommended for those that have issues with Monitors connected via USB-C with power delivery. ... show more

  • Safe, Certified, Quality Apple Charging Cable. Enjoy!
This product is a bit expensive for what it is, but it is a higher quality than others I have used. I accidentally crushed the tip of the one that came with my iPad Pro when it got stuck under my easy chair. I bought these two replacement cords, because they are shorter and thicker and perfect for the space my wife and I charge our iPads. I have noticed that the iPad charges much faster with this product than it did with the cable that came with the iPad. This is an Apple product that is certified for use with the Apple iPad. While some people are tempted to purchase less expensive charging cables like I did one time, I learned the hard way that it is not a good idea. I once bought a cheap set of cables for an iPhone and the iPhone got so hot that it melted the plastic cover to the back of my iPhone. Feeling lucky that it did not cause a fire, I have learned that cheaper is not always safer. I now make sure that the charging cables I buy for my electronic devices are made for and certified to be used with the product I want to charge. These are high quality charging cables that I know are safe to use with my Apple iPad Pro. Expense? Not when you consider the safety of your product, your home, and your family. Enjoy! ... show more

  • This cable worked, but so does ANKER's version (for le$$)
I had thought I only needed three feet of cable; however, it kept limiting me. I bought the ANKER 6 ft. USB C to USB C Cable and it works just as good as the Apple cable. Apple has a long history of making poor quality cables so people will buy more. It is a huge profit center for Apple. I don't like this type of practice from Apple, a company I otherwise like. So I prefer to buy a quality non-apple cable. ... show more

  • Did exactly what I needed to do
I recently purchased the LG Ultrafine 5k monitor for my 2018 MBP. It works perfectly. I also have a work laptop that is HP Elitebook 830 G6. The original cable from the monitor, the Thunderbolt 3 allows both laptops to work for the monitor. Once I am off work, I plug in my personal computer. Wola. I am very happy and pleased with the performance of the monitor being able to work with both types of laptops that when I consulted the Apple Specialist, asking what I need to buy to keep a spare cable around. They let me know it is this Thunderbolt 3 cable that works for this situation. As long as there is a lighting bolt not he cable, it is a Thunderbolt 3. When I got it in the mail, I plugged it in to test, and wola! Works! I now have a spare in case the original one gives out. Its perfect! The USBC outlet on the HP laptop is 2.0, not even meant to work for anything but standard charging. Yet, the Thunderbolt 3 cable was able to transfer the data and let my monitor work with the laptop. ... show more

  • The only one that works!
I tried a cheaper longer โ€œthunderboltโ€. Did not work! Every time my desk barely jiggled it cut the signal to my other 5k monitor! The Apple cable fixed it, no issue at all. But itโ€™s barely long enough to reach from my 5k 27in LG to my 5k 27in iMac Pro! But it does and it works flawlessly

  • Now my second display doesn't glitch
I connect an LG Ultrafine monitor to my 2017 MacBookPro, and for nearly three years I used a Thunderbolt cable I'd bought at the Apple store. Usually it would work fine--but sometimes the MacBook would wake and not recognize the second display. Sometimes on awakening both screens would go to full brightness. If you've had similar weird problems with your setup, this cable might just be the cure. It has been for me, so far; no glitches since I installed it. And believe me, I'll update this if that changes! One thing to note: this is not a 3-foot cable, as I'd blithely assumed. 8/10s of a meter is about 31-1/2 inches and so this thing is a little shorter than I'd like. My bad, of course, but keep that in mind when you order a new Thunderbolt cable, if your setup is as much of a snake pit as mine. Update: 18 months later itโ€™s still working fine and no glitches of the screen brightness. ... show more
