  • Creativity and fun, some limitations
Style: 180 Cards
These cards are great for simple designs or text but complex coloring and shading is difficult to achieve with the surface finish already on the card. This surface is great for the overall texture that cannot otherwise be achieved so it’s a five and take feature. If you want to pencil then ink, and especially if adding color, it’s best to get the pencils mostly erased before inking to avoid smudging. These smudges can be removed with additional erasing, but it’s more work and often requires re-inking. Even permanent markers tend to float on the finishing but paint markers without extensive layering and allowed to dry works nice. The weight of the paper is comparable to most gaming cards. There is some minor shine-through when held up to the light but it is not apparently noticeable at a glance. These are good for drafting a deck of game cards, creating scrapbook background clips or caption bubbles, mini art cards, or creating a trading card template for anyone to design. ... show more

  • Much better than I expected
Style: 50 Cards
I bought these to prototype my card game thinking they'd be some cheap cardstock but the quality is significantly better than expected. They shuffle well, though they're a bit stiff. They snap back very well and for those of you who sublimate they take the ink with no problem at all. Definitely stocking up on these ... show more

  • Cards are nice but there is a burr from cutting
Style: 180 Cards
The cards are nice. Good size, feels good in the hand, can shuffle them nicely. The only issue I have is (I assume) the cutter left a burr on the edge all the way around. While it is hard to see it can be easily felt and it has a pretty significant impact to the cards shuffling and stacking if you mix them "up side down". Otherwise they are excellent. I will end up putting them in sleeves and/or be careful as to which side is "up". hopefully with enough shuffling the burr will get knocked down and no longer be noticeable. ... show more

  • They shuffle
Style: 180 Cards
I really wanted a blank deck that shuffled normally and I settled on these after reading the description and the reviews. And yes, they shuffle normally. They feel like a store-bought set of cards. I also tested one with a alcohol-based* sharpie; after a few seconds when the ink was dry they didn't smudge, even after dripping some water on it. Would recommend. These are poker size, I'm not really sure what that means but they are just a tiny bit smaller than my standard Bicycle deck. *Edit: I said water-based but the sharpie I used was actually alcohol-based. ... show more

  • Can't be shuffled
Style: 180 Cards
My original view said these things were great, but it turns out they don't shuffle well at all. I thought I found a replacement for using bicycle cards to prototype my board game and I need to keep using them and just keep track of what each number and suit means. They aren't useless though as my game also has cards that you pick at the start of the game that never get shuffled ... show more

  • Matte finish does not mean ink doesn’t run.
Style: 50 Cards
I originally purchased a blank set of cards in gloss, but quickly found that they wouldn’t absorb marker ink properly. I then decided to purchase the matte finish, and while the ink does absorb better - it actually runs through all the “veins” on the cards with markers and stamps. That’s why I gave it 4 stars. Still in the market for a better card stock. I also purchased a blank game board set that came with cards and while the board doesn’t have any marker run/smear issues, the included blank card deck is just like the matte finish. I really enjoy the board though. Helped me condense a huge poster board into something more transportable ... show more
