    • It does not improve sleep quality. Malfuntioning device. Bad customer service.
I bought the Apollo device because I wanted to improve my sleep. This company claims that this device will improve deep sleep as well as heart rate variability. After wearing it every night for 3 weeks it did not improve my sleep nor HRV. The device loses its connection with its app very frequently. Also the battery life is very bad. If you want the vibrations high enough to be felt the battery will not last a whole session. I reached to the customer service who replied I should only use low or medium vibrations if I wanted the battery to last. I was astonished, but I decided to give it a try. I programmed it to run 2 hours at night at 50% vibration at 9 pm and then again at 2 am. The 9 pm vibrations stopped for no reason after 30 minutes and I never felt the 2 am vibrations when I happened to be awake. I told the customer service I might have a defective device and I ask for advice to troubleshoot it. They answered there was nothing wrong and the sleep program was designed to progressively fade in intensity in order not to wake you up. Simply I might not have noticed the vibrations. I was not convinced, so I tested the sleep program during the day while having the Apollo app opened in my phone. Exactly after 32 minutes the device stopped for no reason. The app showed the program had indeed stopped. The battery was still 80% full. After a few more minutes the app and device got disconnected. I contacted again the customer service now convinced that the device was defective. They completely ignored the test I had done telling me once more that I may not have noticed the faded vibrations. I gave up trying to save the device and returned it. In summary, it did not improve my sleep. I've seen positive reviews here. In my case it could be because the device did not work the way it was supposed to work. ... show more

I bought this for the SmartVibes feature while I sleep. They claimed that it would lengthen my deep sleep and it certainly has! Right from the first night and it seems to do so consistently. It’s a bit bulky on my wrist so not the most comfortable to wear but I’m getting used to it. I track my sleep and it really seems to be helping. Thank you! ... show more

    • Pretty darn good
UPDATE: I decided to give it another try. As long as I use it once a night, I don't get a headache. I put it in the Sleep Mode when I go to bed for 120 minutes. When I wake up later, I still feel drowsy and can usually go back to sleep pretty well. I'm usually more awake by 5 a.m. and would love to put it on for another 30 minutes, but don't want a headache. I will eventually try it. This is a good product. The customer service was very good. ********They say you can use it as much as you want without any side effects. It did help me sleep at 55% level, but after several days it produced an unbelievable headache during the night/early morning. As soon as I stopped using it, the headache subsided. I am well-versed in daily meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness, but have cortisol issues due to external stressors and perimenopause, so I was really hoping this would be helpful, as my functional medicine physician recommended a vagal nerve stimulator on top of continuing my normal calming practices. I bought one a couple month ago, and returned it, only to have the company reach out afterward and say it seemed my app had a known bug that caused a lot of disconnections. So I gave it another shot & repurchased. I bought this bundled with the larger band. Unfortunately, I think either this one is either *more* defective, or they still haven't fixed the app. It still disconnects. It still doesnt start on scheduled times every time it's supposed to. But on top of that, the vibration isn't as intense as the first one was, despite me turning up the intensity higher than I had it on the initial one I tried. I use it quite frequently throughout the day. I find the vibration soothing (except for the Energy one...which I find stress-inducing, almost like it amps up a distracting feeling of panic), but I do not believe it does anything physically calming. I think i'd keep it if it was like $50-$100, because it's simply just a little buzzer that gives me something to focus on when I meditate or breathe throughout the day, kind of a neat little tool. But there is no way it's worth the going rate, unfortunately. I find the odds that I got a defective one twice (or that the app isn't doing what it's supposed to do), relatively low.     • The wrist strap is atrocious

This has helped a lot with my energy levels. As others have mentioned, the battery life on this thing is not good. However, the biggest disappointment for me has been the wrist band. It is constantly unlatching itself and falling off my wrist and it's really annoying. It falls off even more when I try to cover it up with some long sleeves.     • Does what it says it can do
This is my second Apollo. I had one of the very first ones and I used it all the time. I saw the advantages of getting a new one, that Apollo had a "learning about my habits" feature, sensing that I have woke up in the middle of the night and it will turn on automatically to help me fall back to asleep. The other day, I got real nervous and upset and I felt my Apollo turn on and saw that it was running in the "Calm" mode. This made me happy. It also worked while on a long drive and the driver played music I did not care for and I played the "social" setting and I was amazed that I could keep my mouth shut and not complain. I use this all day and night for various reasons and it really is a helpful device. I also got the "Clip on" that I wear most of the time to keep my apollo clean and dry.
