    • It only pulls on the serrated side

I got this for my daughter to use for building a catio. I got the red one thinking it would be easier to find in my tool drawer, work bench, yard, job site, etc. etc. I tested it first and it only pulls the zip ties on the serrated side. The wheel to adjust the tension has to be turned about 16 to 20 times to get to the next position. Everything was stiff at first so I sprayed a little lubricant into it and that helped a lot. Especially on the adjustment wheel. It only pulls about 1/2 " at a time so pull your tie snuggly as far as possible then use the gun to cinch it tight and cut it. Keep the gun square to the tie so you don't get any crooked cuts with sharp corners sticking out. It works just fine for the testing phase. We'll have to see how it works and for how long when my daughter actually uses it. She'll be tightening / cutting around 200 zip ties. It appears to be a decent tool for the money. ... show more
