Spent a lot of time shopping for lift desks, and even visited some friend's home offices for in-person road testing and this one won big. The finish is really high quality for an MDF top. It arrived in three boxes, which was easier to get inside. Assembly took less than 30 min, very simple directions and well ordered, each step was fast and easy to understand. I put it together and flipped it myself. The desk is sturdy at full height, and has room for 2 or 3 monitors. Seller is really responsive. Ok, so I would give this a 3.5 stars. Pros: 1) it's pretty - I got the white legs with light oak top and the white cabinet. Visually it's just what I had imagined. 2) it's electric so I don't have to hand crank or push/pull it to go up or down 3) I don't have to sit all day long anymore. 4) the instructions for assembly were fairly easy to follow. It was similar to assembling Ikea furniture, so if you struggle with that then this probably isn't the desk for you. 5) The shipping was amazing! It came about a week earlier than Amazon originally estimated. It was in 4 boxes, but FedEx kept track of all 4 boxes and let me know when they were delivered. The straps on the box that were holding the top had cut in to the cardboard, but there was no damage to the top itself. 6) I like the drawers that came with it, even though there was a dent in the top right hand corner. The price increase is reasonable, especially when compared to other metal filing cabinets. I like that it matches the desk and gives me a place to put the things I took out of my old desk. Cons: 1) It is much more wobbly than I expected. My monitors rock when I'm writing or typing which was the one thing I absolutely did NOT want and the reason why I rated it lower. This happens when I'm standing AND when it's at the lowest setting. I would have saved myself $100 and gotten the one at Office Depot if I knew it was going to be this way, since it had about the same amount of shake. (Now, the desk is super heavy so I don't think it will tip over and I haven't had any issues while leaning on it, but I HATE that my monitors wobble. Mounting arms may fix this, but those would put me over my budget for this remodel.) 2) I wish this came with some kind of cable management at least for the cords that attach from the legs to the motor. These cords seem unnecessarily long and hang down and are unsightly. I knew in advance I would need to somehow manage the cords going to and from my computer and accessories, but I really think Apex could find a better way to handle the cords for the motor. 3) I thought I would like the curve in the desk and the unique shape, but I find that I could really use those extra couple of inches. I don't understand why the corners are clipped either. It looks really neat, but functionally it doesn't work for me. 4) it took about 3 hours to take apart my old desk, put together this one, reorganize everything, and partially hide cords. I'd say an hour of that was physically assembling the desk and it definitely takes 2 people because it is HEAVY! ... show more

My coworker loves it. She has a back pain that she needs to stand at work once a while. This desk moves smoothly go up and down by pressing button on the desk. It’s very easy for her. The cabinet delivered two days later. We thought it’s lost but it came and she loves it too. It has a key to lock it so she can put important files in there and lock it. Didn't see too many reviews for the oak color, but it is very nice. Desk is good quality - solid. I was able to set it up myself without help but had to modify the instructions slightly. The instructions, for safety reasons, tell you to attach the tabletop to the supports on the floor. But if you do this, it is very heavy and you will need two people to assemble. You can instead set up the supports and place the desk on top and screw from below. Obviously, don't drop it on your head. Also, be sure to read ahead when assembling and pay attention to the direction of the supports or you'll find yourself taking it apart again. Read that people thought it was slow to raise and lower. I don't have anything to compare with but seemed fast to me. Also, remote is easy to program. The only con would be is that it doesn't come with a cable tray to hide the messy cables. I've owned this desk since July 2020, and I've had no issues. It's very sturdy, even when at it's higher settings. Plenty of desk space, and the pass-through grommets make cable management easy. My only complaint would be that the cable management tray was an extra $30, since it's just a piece of metal that screws on (though, I don't regret it as it keeps everything uncluttered and cables out of the way). The cabinet is nice. Nothing special about it, but it does the job for which it's intended. Mine is actually serving as a nightstand since I moved. Their support is awesome; when I moved I hired movers and they lost one of the foot pads for the desk. I contacted support since I couldn't find them for sale, and surprisingly they sent me a free replacement! ... show more

The only thing that could make this desk better would be if it assembled itself. The setup instructions were easy to follow. I managed to assemble the desk within the 30 mins I had between work meetings. Would highly recommend to taller folks (I'm 6'1") as most desks leave me feeling a bit cramped while sitting but this one has more than ample leg room. ... show more
