I was skeptical that anything would work on our HARD water. Tested this out on an older vehicle first, before risking it on my new car. Seemed to work fine, so I used it to wash my new car, and it work beautifully. I didn't have to constantly re-rinse the car to keep it from drying. By the time I finished washing, half the car was completely dry, and not a single water spot. I didn’t purchase the system for washing vehicles but it did a great job in quickly rinsing off my truck and leaving it spotless. I purchased the APEC 300 for washing house windows. Living in an area with very hard water, containing many minerals, washing windows was a waste of time leaving leaving the windows spotted with water mineral stains. The APEC left them crystal clear with no water spots. It paid for itself with the first cleaning considering the going rate for cleaning windows is $300 in our area. This is my second spotless cleaner and the APEC filter system is much easier to handle with the filters encased in hard plastic shells. I was going to give it four stars for manufacturing deficiencies because the holes for the stand and handle didn’t quite line up with the frame holes but it was an easy fix with my DeWalt power drill and running a 1/4 inch drill bit through for alignment. We've been using this for over two years now on the original filters. We use it to fill and top off the coolant tanks on two CNC machines with 55 gallon tanks. I estimate we've used over 800 gallons and the TDS meter is still 0. Our tap water runs 60-90 ppm which is much lower than most areas. Excellent results. I have had this over a month i have done alot of cars with it and i am very happy with it the one thing i did is i only use it to rinse i use regular water to wash so i put a split connector the other thing i learned is is good to get a blower just blow the water off. Dont touch it once u do it just seems to spot just blowing it makes the process alot better so for me i am happy ... show more

I was lucky to own a water flow meter so I was able to figure out how to set the recommended gallons per minute. Without that you could still have water spotting. I wish it had a method to tell when the canisters need replacing. But besides those two issues it works perfect and no more water spots on our cars. I even used it on our solar panels and the results were perfect ... show more

I purchased this system to use with a direct connection to the hose bib (no pressure washer). First use was fine. But on the second use it immediately started loosing pressure. The pressure is so low I can piss further than the water coming out of the sprayer on the end of the hose. I've contacted APEC to give them a chance to rectify the problem. I suspect it is just a poor design just like the other brand system I have used in the past. They both performed the same. I suspect in the end I will return it. Don't waste your money. Keep in mind if you do purchase this system that APEC's return policy is 30 days. ... show more

So far so good! I've done about 20 car washes using this water system, so it more than paid for itself. It was very easy to put together and for the most part, I've only had to lightly wipe down each vehicle after - to really get the windows clean. I did take the advice of other reviewers and purchase separate hoses. I also am very mindful of how much water I use each time I wash because as many have pointed out, the filters are about 60 bucks each to replace. What's funny is that I used to spend longer going to the car wash and sitting around waiting for my car to be washed. Using this product not only saves me time but helps me get much-needed exercise. I simply throw on a podcast, and before you know it I'm done. This is one of the best products I've ever purchased on Amazon! ... show more
