The cylinders work as designed, stupid easy to install and get this, you can swap the pins to fit your ignition key and use same key for doors and ignition. I opted to have two separate keys to avoid wearing of my ignition key, it is much better to only use the ignition key for ignition and have a separate for the doors when you constantly opening your doors for other than driving. Overall the quality seems legit and for the price you cant beat it. Good locks, and good set of extra keys. ... show more

    • Great Product - One minor problem, but I have a workaround.
I needed one door lock and this is Awesome and So much for the price. I did notice that one of the locks works with both keys, but the other lock doesn't work with either key. At this time, I am going to only install the one that works in the drivers door and will purchase another set or have the "bad one" rekeyed by a locksmith. This is not a big problem as my big problem is electrical and sometimes the battery drains and then the key fobs don't work. When I bought the Truck (3 years old) from the dealer, the fobs worked and so I didn't know that neither door worked with the key until six years later when the battery drained. One Keyed Door is all I will need now and this is so much for the price. I am just recommending that everyone check the keys before you take the doors apart to install. :P ... show more

    • Perfect Fit!! Easy Install!
Quiet possibly the easiest part I've ever replaced on my old '96 Ranger. 1. For those reviewers that can't tell the difference between the passenger side and the drivers side, there isn't a difference. These locks are identical. It doesn't matter what side you put them on. They are simple one-up (unlock) one-down (lock) with a neutral in the middle. No matter which side you install it on, it will still be one-up (unlock) one-down (lock) 2. Don't be an idiot and let the rod fall down into the door. 3. Any Ford key will not work with these locks. Only the keys that come with it will work. 4. Don't put the rubber washer on the lock before installing the lock. Install the lock first then stretch the rubber seal around the outside of the lock. Yes, there is enough space between the lock and the door and it will be a watertight fit. 5. If it takes you more than 5 min to install both of these locks you are doing something wrong. ... show more

Called a local locksmith to have a couple door lock cylinders re-keyed. He quoted a price and then hedged a bit when I restated the price to him. With these, you might have to carry another key, but the price was the same or less than the hedging locksmith. Ordered these, installed them with ease, and didn't have to deal with taking lock cylinders to a locksmith. Great product. ... show more
