Pros.... cost, picture at night is clear without much light, battery life us awesome (back camera doesn’t use solar panel and lasts several months; front camera does use solar panel and easy to install and never less than 100%), no cloud storage needed, settings allow lots of options from human only to all motion and far/near, snoozing, etc. It's really a great camera. I've had these for a while now. They're very easy to set up, they work well and it's surprising how long the batteries last. We even bought some extra cameras and it was easy to add the extras to the original HomeBase. I did recently have an issue with the HomeBase (while covered under the warranty). I contacted customer service, and after not being able to fix it with some basic troubleshooting steps, they're sending a replacement. It was great to get help without jumping through hoops. Cameras and doorbell are extremely easy to install based on the battery power. You can wire the doorbell directly as well. This self contained unit works well without a subscription as well. The definition will not necessarily read a license plate on the street but will easily identify a face. Spot light is kind of wimpy but still a great deterrent. Connects to my 5G wireless without a problem, and can also switch to 2.4G for what they call smooth continuos video. This was hard to find because I didn’t want to switch our 5G network. All of our devices are connected to Comcast 5G. I’m so impressed with this package. Even before I received the delivery. I got an email from AOSU with set up tutorials and tech help contact info. Turns out I didn’t need any help. Among the things to know are: 1. The base station plugs directly into your modem via a phone jack(which they included) because of that, your recordings are safe because the SD card is not in the camera so won’t be ripped down or stolen. 2. The app is great and has so many features such as siren, prerecorded messages in a man’s voice, or talk directly with the person, turn on the light, “detect only humans”, sleep mode in case you don’t want it on all the time, and the list goes on. 3. You can have the cameras tied to 4 cell phones and it still works great. My kids are happy to have the app too for when they’re home alone. I was not looking to monitor the road and my neighbors, just the front and back entries just in case in this world gone crazy an intruder decided to be evil and steal, hurt, or invade. I showed it to my single neighbor and will be hooking hers up this week. I’m shocked for the money and not paying for a subscription. I can’t speak to the longevity but if something goes wrong, or say it melts, I will update this review. Hope this helps. ... show more

Cameras are good quality, charging is good. Easy setup, using a commercial grade firewall and it’s http access. Wish there was MFA settings to increase security though. No firmware updates yet, it can be a bit laggy when on wifi when trying to view live feed. Units are very sturdy. Would like to see a stronger base, maybe metal, as the plastic bases seems a bit wonky. Not sure how well these will handle outside Florida weather, like direct sun or hurricane/high winds. Overall, very impressed with these units. I will be researching potential security flaws, but I have them on a VLAN/DMZ, so not extremely worried. ... show more

    • Great video monitoring system without the added expense

We've had this unit for about 7 months now. We got it to monitor the many packages dropped off throughout a week to assure nothing was being tampered with or stolen. The camera system has a great app where you can adjust the level of motion detection, easily put cameras to sleep if you know you'll be in the line of site for an extended period, and quick notifications if motion is detected. You can even speak through the app/camera to those close to the camera. We have one above our garage and by our front door. It works just as well as a doorbell cam. The battery life is good as well. Fully rechargeable and looks like it only needs to be charged about every 6-8 months. So far we have been pleased. *One note, we did have an issue with one camera suddenly disconnecting after six months. However, I contacted customer service through the app and they were great to work with. They addressed the issue immediately and solved the problem.
