  • Stellar so far.
Size: 27" 300Hz Mini-LED
Crazy bright, REAL HDR. You can use local dimming in SDR as well, turning it into kind of a "quasi HDR" so that's amazing, and my operating sytem (Linux) can adjust brightness in HDR. Really the best of both worlds there. The "halo effect" on the dimming is minimal, I was struggling to notice it in worst case scenarios. The color gamut is wide and beautiful, and it does get extremely black when it needs to - offering something close to an OLED experience but without many of the drawbacks and babysitting. Mine arrived factory calibrated with a report, which is very nice. It also came with a HDMI 2.1 cable AND displayport cable, which is also great. The stand is OK, it does what most people need - a small gripe would be that the monitor wobbles a bit when you press buttons for the On Screen Display (OSD) menu, but that's a very minor complaint. The status of the Freesync on this monitor is kind of nebulous, as another reviewer mentioned. AOC definitely advertised Freesync Premium Pro on their website's product page, so I might knock a point off later after I test in more games/content. Overall, I'm very pleased after the quick testing I've done, but I will return to update my review IF I find something unfortunate after further experience and tests. ... show more

  • Great monitor, AOC bugs hamper full five stars.
Size: 27" 300Hz Mini-LED
I can confirm at the very least this monitor supports 10bit color @ 1440p300hz when using Displayport connected to a 9070XT. Local dimming is much better than its predecessor with the G4XMN with the 1100+ local dimming zones v. 336 on the 3XMN. Making it on par with the 4XMN/41XMN2. The main difference between the 4XMN/41XMN2 outside of the refresh rate is that this definitely has 10bit color support and an additional HDMI port. It does use the old school buttons for monitor navigation so if that is a pain point I would avoid but if you don't mind the old way of navigating the OSD then it's fine. Monitor can use VESA mounts if you don't want to use the stand. I would give this monitor a full 5 stars however I'm currently working with AOC support on the exact status of Freesync Premium Pro. On their website it is explicitly advertised with Freesync Premium Pro, however the monitor itself only shows adaptive sync and in the AMD Adrenaline settings on Adaptive sync Compatible is shown as the Dynamic Refreshrate setting. ... show more

  • Excellent Factory Calibration
Size: 27" 300Hz Mini-LED
Very satisfied with the monitor. I've been using it for one week. My unit arrived with an individual factory calibration report showing an sRGB Avg. Delta E of 0.45 and luminance uniformity ranging from 95.2% to 101.5% across all measured points. I think I got lucky. The OSD uses four separate buttons, so it's a little complicated to navigate at first. However, if you don't change the settings very often, it's not a problem. ... show more

  • Should you buy this?
Size: 27" 300Hz Mini-LED
Its simple - If you come from something worse like an IPS or 1080p non oled itll probably be great and a good thing to get. If you have better than that you need to spend a lot more and get something much better otherwise itll look the same or even worse depending on what you have 300 for this quality is totally worth it for ips users (or i guess va if you use that), would still recommend it from a 1440p ips too if you dont have money for something nicer ... show more

  • Another win for AOC monitors
Size: 27" 300Hz Mini-LED
AOC Just keeps cranking out winner after winner. Another monitor that is beyond expectations at it's price point. Color and image quality are great, and a 300HZ refresh rate makes it very suitable for gaming today. As always, the quality built in to this AOC monitors isa present in this one as well. With all the customization I have come to expect from AOC, you can adjust the screen to fit your play style and preferences. Highly recommended. • Great Mini-LED performance with vibrant colors
Size: 27" 300Hz Mini-LED
AOC has a reputation for high-quality budget monitors, and this Mini-LED model fits that description well. It is notably lightweight, which is a big plus if you plan on using a monitor arm like I do. The image quality is excellent, with black levels and vibrant colors that come very close to my OLED screen of the same size. I specifically picked this up because I often leave static windows open for days and wanted to avoid the burn-in risks associated with OLED, and this feels like a perfect middle ground. Performance has been smooth without any noticeable stuttering or smearing. I did have one hurdle with the HDMI 2.1 connection where the refresh rate capped at 144Hz. It could be a cable or setting issue on my end, but I didn't bother troubleshooting extensively since the DisplayPort connection worked flawlessly at the full 300Hz right away. There is also a slight reddish tint when viewing the screen from an angle, though it isn't an issue during normal use since I'm always sitting directly in front of it. For the price, it’s an impressive display that holds its own against more expensive tech. ... show more

  • Works as advertised.
Size: 27" 300Hz Mini-LED
For a 27" gaming monitor, this is a great one to get for the cost. It does have a full array of 4,608 LED beads across it's 1,152 local dimming zones that enhances the picture quality and gaming performance. This advanced structure enhances the contrast of the colors and it will produce a deeper black with no sacrificing of those bright colors (thanks, HDR!!!). It does have a max 25.60x1440 (QHD) resolution in the 16:9 aspect ratio that gives it a strong depth of color and shadow detail than most of the IPS screens out there. Be sure to download the FreeSync technology to help get the tear-free stable gameplay. The monitor does have 2 x HDMI 2.1, 1 x DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, and 1 x audio output port. Overall, it blends great premium HDR performance, great refresh rates (300Hz), and color accuracy that monitors in this price range find it difficult to complete, especially with the mini LED backlight. If there's anything that I don't like about it is that the viewing angle is narrow so you would need to get it positioned just right if it's not your primary monitor. Overall, great value for your money. Compatibility ... show more
