The shoe construction is ok for the tops. The asymmetric seam near the toes was giving my right big toe a problem, but the leather is soft enough it stretches out fairly fast. The leather of the shoe uppers is not lined and thus the more you wear the shoes, the larger they get all around. The soles get a one star from me. The surface that contacts the ground is inset from the edge of the sole with various sized nobs that make you balance on a smaller surface than the actual sole. Fairly dangerous on rugs or near area rugs due to the inset of the nobs from the edge of the shoe. Will never buy shoes what that kind of sole again. So, for sitting, not bad... for walking, very short walks on the patio if I need a pair to take on and off fast. Generally not practical and not a feeling of shoes firmly on the ground. Thought I would get used to the feeling, but have had them for months and due to the slop of the stretching leather, it has only become worse.
