  • Good Camera Overall
Color: Q03-3MP
I have this mounted on my 2nd floor balcony. I'm not using the solar panel because I had an outlet close enough by. This will probably lessen the lifespan of the battery but it has power so it doesn't matter in this case. It's already helped me stop two burglaries. Two guys broke into my car one night and the next night a guy tried to break into my neighbor's truck. I was able to scare them off, but I'm in CA so we're not allowed to defend our property or we get arrested. My biggest issue with this is that it has never alerted me when it's set to humanoid detection. I've tried sensitivity 1 and 5 and all between. Tried daytime and nighttime settings. One and not the other. I'll walk around 12-15 feet from the camera in view and nothing. It will sometimes alert when I don't have humanoid setting on when I walk around in view. I really need this to alert me when the scums (technical term) are around our vehicles or walking in the street at 3am. It's incredibly rare that an individual walking in the street at 3am has good moral character. But I might be prejudice against late night street walkers. I tested the siren and it's not very loud. At first I didn't know it was on. Speaker setting was at 70% but I don't think that setting should/would affect the siren volume. Just the voice. PTZ sometimes doesn't respond, and I have to reopen the app but that's only 10% of the time and usually when I'm on LTE and not Wifi. ... show more

  • Pleased with the features and the app (UPDATE)
Color: Q03-3MP
This camera was a replacement for my 2 year old yi outdoor wifi plug in camera which stopped working completely after a software update. I unpacked the camera, put it in the sun for 15 minutes while connected to the solar panel. The power/reset/sd card are all under a removable rubber plug on the bottom of the camera. Powered it up. Followed the instructions and installed the app. There you are prompted for your wifi info. I had no issues. Easy mounting. Toss all the included screws and anchors in the trash. They will cause you needless frustration. I used 2 drywall screws to fasten the camera bracket to the bottom of a rafter tail under my eaves on the corner of the house facing south. Slide the camera on the rail and it clicks in place. 3 more drywall screws to fasten the detachable solar base to the fascia on the west side of my house around the corner. Then hand screw on the solar panel and adjust. Hand tighten nut. Done. Cord from panel to camera is plenty long. Maybe 6-8 feet. I used about a foot. Ziptied and tucked the rest. Everything seemed sturdy enough for high winds. There are a lot of features on this camera. Install the app on your phone. It operates them well. It displays wifi strength percentage and battery power percentage realtime. My camera gets about 75-80% approximately 50 feet away from the router thru the garage on an Xfinity router. More than I expected. Battery life seems more than adequate with the included solar panel. But we've had full sun so I'll watch that. The camera has numerous features. It has an optional siren. With a warning on the app stating it may annoy your neighbors. I don't use that. And haven't heard it. It has 2 regular lights which will illuminate a small area if you choose to use that option. Turn on/off with the light button on app. There is night vision B/W and night vision color which uses different lights. I use b/w. The picture quality is fine. I don't need night colors. Overall quality of picture is really good. On the app, you just drag your finger on the screen to rotate the camera. 360 degrees around. Probably 90 degrees vertical from horizon and going straight down. There is a paid AI function which will recognize packages and animals and people and differentiate. I use an SD card for storage. I formatted it on PC using slow format fat 32. Installed in camera. Pressed alerts, and camera prompted to reformat SD card. Took 2 times but then it started functioning. You can set alert zones and all kinds of notifications for everything. The first camera I ordered would not power on. I returned it and the second on powered right up and worked fine. There is an included window security camera sticker. I'll be happy if I can get at least 2 years out of this camera. I love the idea that it's soler and doesn't add on to the power bill. I like the Fullscreen option on the phone/ipad. Also to add a second phone/iPad to view the camera, you have to add a 'family member' to your 'family' it's kind of convoluted but I got it to work reliably. It takes a while to set it up and dial it in, but it's worth it. I'd recommend the purchase. I will update as necessary *UPDATE It appears the plastic cover over the camera lens has turned cloudy around the outside. The picture is blurred. I've cleaned the lens several times with a microfiber cloth and even tried light Windex on the cloth. Nothing is changing. Used to be perfectly clear. Haven't had the camera very long. Hopefully it will not continue to cloud to the point of unusability. Will keep you posted. 2nd UPDATE 1-7-23 Lens has cleared up. Don't know how or why but the picture quality is back to normal. ... show more

  • Camera supports stronger passwords than the Alexa skill
Color: Q03-3MP
[Final update (original review & update below)] After a couple weeks exchanging messages with ANRAN support, I finally have my camera linked to my Echo Show. Unfortunately, the "trick" that allowed the Alexa Skill to work was changing my ANRAN password to a much shorter password without any punctuation symbols, i.e. a much weaker password. The camera itself seems quite good, the 3 stars are due to the weaker password requirement in order to link with the Alexa skill. If only the skill would operate for more than about 5 minutes before self-terminating -- I bought the camera to monitor my driveway using an Echo Show, but if I need to issue the "show me the camera" command every five minutes, it isn't much use even if it DOES work. Sigh. Live and learn. [Original post] With the ANRAN app on my phone, I can use the camera to monitor my driveway, which is one reason I bought it. The other reason was Alexa compatibility that promised I could monitor the camera with my Echo Show 8. Unfortunately, I've followed every instruction and troubleshooting guide I could find and the instructions I got from the various vendors and it just won't work. At this point, the ANRAN people blame the folks who wrote their Alexa skill (i.e. it isn't the camera's fault.) The folks who wrote the skill have never responded and Amazon told me to ask the people who wrote the skill and made the camera (i.e. it isn't Alexa's fault.) So the magic necessary to link the camera, skill, and Alexa just won't happen. I guess that's because, as we all know, magic isn't real. [UPDATE] I've dropped as many stars as I was allowed from my rating after spending at least a week messaging the seller for support about Alexa linking. Unfortunately they appear completely unable to do anything except repeat the existing instructions, either in text or videos. Dealing with something that doesn't work as expected was completely beyond their ability. Also, they appear to have a special version of the ANRAN app that is quite different from the latest version available on the Google Play Store, but they seemed unable to grasp that fact, no matter how many times I told them and send screen shots that were different from theirs, so I was unable to answer many of their questions because my app doesn't have the same features as theirs. Eventually, they told me they forgot to update something in Google, try again and "have a happy life." I will never, ever do business with this company or these product again. EVER. ... show more

  • Easy set up and app
Color: Q03-3MP
If you’re in need of easy to install and operate camera, then definitely consider this one. Included in this package is a solar panel to charge the batteries and CloudEdge app is easy to install and use. The image quality is excellent and the pan/tilt/zoom feature of the camera allows you to view virtually any area of your property. You can either pay for cloud storage or purchase a mocroSD card to store your events. False triggers are minimized with the AI sensor that focuses on human movement, not just any movement. For the price, you can’t beat it. ... show more

  • Far superior to other solar powered security cameras
Color: Q03-3MP
First, let me say that I am currently live streaming three security cameras (using three old iPhones, sitting on my bedside table - see 1st photo attached). The image (of my front door) that you see all the way to the left in that photo is being captured by an (indoor) Amcrest camera (very very old… hence the poorer 1080 resolution), the camera you see in the center of that photo (showing my driveway and front steps) is being captured by an outdoor solar powered (UniLook) camera, and the image you see all the way to the right in that photo is being captured by this brand new ANRAN camera (and although it is designed to be an outdoor solar powered camera, I have mounted it indoors, and I’m using a very long USB extension cord with which to power it). And yes, both the ANRAN and Unilook (Vicohome) Apps DO support more than one camera…so why (you may ask) use 3 (iPhone) devices to view the streaming of three cameras? Because I want all 3 cameras to be LIVE-STREAMING 24/7, without having to manually engage (by hitting the play button on my device) any of the cameras at any time; the only way to do that is by using 3 different cameras (made by 3 different manufacturers), 3 corresponding camera Apps, and 3 different iPhone (viewing) devices. That way when the dogs start maniacally barking from another room, I can look over and quickly scan all 3 iPhone devices to instantly see whether they have spotted a squirrel… or an ax murderer ;-). I should also add that (over the past six months or so) I tried out probably 15 different cameras from Amazon before I selected the two newer cameras (Unilook and ANRAN) that you see in that photo. My criteria is as follows: 1. Must live stream continuously to my iPhones (without a “time-out”); 2. Must have high resolution imaging (both during the day, and at night - 2nd photograph attached is a still shot I took of my side yard with the camera in QHD mode); 3. Must pair with Alexa, such that a quick voice command will bring up the desired camera view on any one of my Alexa Shows; 4. must allow for quick screen shots/videos of the image; and 5. must have quick/easy panning/zooming capabilities. You would be amazed how many cameras it took for me to finally find two of them that meet this criteria! I had to kiss a lot of frogs :-) Of all the “”trial” camera purchases, I have to say that this one, the ANRAN, was by far the easiest to set up and pair with Alexa (which even includes a step-by-step vocal/visual “demonstration” from my Alexa Show after you pair them). The entire set-up, including Alexa pairing, took less than a minute. Also the ANRAN App is a cut WAY above others I’ve used. And while I cannot speak to the quality of the solar panel (since I’m powering it inside with AC power), and yes, I recognize that most security camera companies do not recommend their cameras be aimed at a window, I’m very pleased with the result. Bottom line, if you have the same 5 criteria I listed above AND you don’t have some of the other common functions to which I cannot speak, because I don’t need them (e.g., solar power, motion detection, SD card/cloud video recording, etc) I highly HIGHLY recommend this camera!!! It’s a “prince”!!! ... show more

  • Working Great
Color: Q03-3MP
Very sensitive and picture and video quality is great. No issues with battery life and charging so far after a few months use. I've had other cameras getting disconnected from the WiFi intermittently but not this one. Planning to add more to my network.
