This dress is slightly larger than I expected, but my weight has been fluctuating between130-140 lbs recently. I seem to always be in between sizes. So, I don't know for sure if it fits "Too large" or "Fit as expected." I think It's probably closer to "Fit as expected." I am 5'5" and usually about 133 lbs. I ordered a medium. It does seem a little big, but I think if I exchanged it for a small it would be tighter than I prefer. The main reason I ordered this dress was to wear this summer when I'm doing stuff around the house or when I'm running errands in the morning. I am very happy I decided to keep the dress too! It's like wearing a big nightgown (the kind I wore when I was a little kid). I guess it's kind of like the equivalent of a mew-mew dress. It's just an updated style and version for 2023. LOL! I love that this oversized stuff is in style right now! It's like wearing PJs all day long, but you feel cute when you're wearing them - not like you are actually still in your PJs from the night before. I recommend this dress to anyone who is like me... I try to dress cute when I go out, but I love to dress for comfort before cuteness. I think I've definitely changed this 43rd year of my life! I never chose comfort before cute until this year. I have plenty of cute tops, pants, jeans, dresses, etc that are still casual but can look more dressed up by adding some accessories and the right shoes. The problem is that suddenly I just don't care as much anymore. I used to spend hours getting ready to go out, and now I dread to just shave my legs or dry my hair. So, it's nice to have something cute and comfortable to put on and wear after doing those things and not in the mood to choose an outfit to wear. (If I could choose 2 things I didn't want to have or do anymore, they would be having hairless legs and no hair on the other parts that most women shave. Absolutely love this dress... looks good, feels good and love the pockets. I'm not usually into long dresses but I'm thinking about ordering me some more of these not to heavy not to light so you can see thru it ... it moves good. I would say I was going to order an XL as thats what I normally get in shirt cause I like them big on me however I went with Large and glad I did XL would've been way to big. It has just right length of slit up the side that dont reveal to much if the wind is blowing. Can dress it up or down. Highly recommend. I am 5'5 about 148 lbs (a lil heavier in the mid section than I'd like) and a longer torso so alot of dresses usually make me look like I'm pregnant but not this one. ... show more

TLDR: ultimately I love these dresses but they need some TLC. I bought one for the day I was supposed to have surgery (laparoscopic) and it was amazing for surgery day. So I bought three more for while I recovered. The fabric is soft enough that it didn’t bother my surgical site. I didn’t need someone to help me go to the bathroom because I couldn’t bend over to pull up shorts or pants and at the end of the day I could just go to bed in it because it was so comfy. And! The nurse told me I looked super cute for someone who was about to have surgery. I would definitely buy more. If you want a loose baggy fit—size up. I usually wear a large and I like the way the large fit in the dress. The material IS a bit thin so on the lighter colored dresses I have to make sure I’m wearing nude underwear. And the fabric will pill but I found that washing in cold and hanging them to dry helps with this. ... show more

This is a cute, comfortable dress. Fit as expected. Has pockets. Print is pretty. Fabric feels cheap, but it’s a cheap dress, so, to be expected. The only thing I didn’t like was the neckline is really high on it. It’s a bit weird on a summery dress. I’d drop that an inch or two on the pattern to improve the dress. I ordered two colors for an upcoming trip with the idea that I can style them multiple ways. I really like the solid black though the pockets seem to want to bulge. Unfortunately so far I haven't really been able to make a shirt tied in the front work as that makes the pocket situation worse. But an open jacket or scarf is cute over the top. I'm mostly going to wear these with tennis shoes on the trip, but I know I can dress it up for dinner out too. The green tie dye unfortunately isn't looking as cute, though I was more excited about that one. I feel like the tie dye one is makes me look bigger... it may be the pattern or it may be that the cut is a bit off. Also, the pattern one you can see the reverse side of the fabric with the slit, which kind of makes it look cheap. I think to order again I'd stick with the solid colors to avoid that. I'm about a size 14 and the XL fits great. ... show more

I have this dress in 2 other patterns that I love. I thought I was going to love the orange ombré too but it’s not nearly as flattering. The top/orange section is pretty transparent. I could definitely see my underwear! Also, I have a bit of a belly and the light orange color comes down just a bit too much on me to make it unflattering. I’m 4’11’ so I’m guessing if I were taller it would be fine! I returned this one 😢 ... show more

The dress itself is very cute and simple and very comfortable. I could see it being dressed up or down. I’m so sad it just didn’t fit me. I’m 5’5” and about 110lbs and have a very slight frame and it was just too baggy on me. It won’t work for people who are very slender.
