I recently upgraded to a 16" M3 Max MacBook Pro and needed to deal with the inevitable 2nd Charging set up. Over the years I've found that you need one Power Supply for the desk and another for mobile use. The M3 Max uses a 140w Power supply and the Apple Power Supply is huge, bulky, ugly and white. It's also a one-trick pony and I wanted something better. This Anker power supply truly does do it all. I liked it so much that I bought 2, one for my computer bag and another one for my desk. Its low profile multiple charging options and slick internal programming make it a home-run for charging convenience on the desk full time. Add it the 5' grounded detachable AC power cord and I've got plenty of faith in its ability to power/charge my devices. It's got two USB-C Thunderbolt 140w ports, two USB-A 12w ports and two AC outlets. If you're charging multiple devices from the USB ports, the power supply allocates the available 140 watts to each of the devices with it's smart allocation scheme prioritizing the device with the greatest need (the AC Outlets have no effect on the USB ports' power allocation full charging to the USB ports while charging or powering devices through the AC). A display on the top of the power supply shows the power allocation to each of the USB ports which is pretty useful. The power supply is also capable of determining the power/charging needs and capabilities of each device that's plugged into the USB ports — so it won't fry your devices. There's some nice hardware trickery involving the AC ports, the power supply is very slim and when you plug in an AC cord, the surface of the power supply literally lifts up to enclose the plug. One thing to remember, this is NOT a battery, it's a power supply so it needs to be plugged in to deliver power. Basically, this is a very slick, useful and physically attractive product.     • The Best Travel Power Strip
I travel frequently for work and always find myself needing to charge multiple devices during the day or in the hotel at night. With a long power cable, this travel charger is the perfect device to ensure I can get power when and where I need it. I routinely have to charge a 13” MacBook Pro, 12” iPad Pro, two iPhones, Apple Watch, and AirPod Pros. This charger has made carrying chargers much easier. I simply place this in my bag with a collection of USB-C and USB-A cables and I’m good to go. Charging is fast and adaptive to optimize battery health. For instance, an iPhone can charge up to 27 watts during quick charging and will slow down as the battery gets more full. This behavior also happens on the iPad and MacBook. My MacBook charges at full speed. I also have a Anker battery pack capable of being charged at 140 Watts when using two USB-C sources. I typically charge it at 100 watts using a single USB-C cable from this charger. It charges so much faster than the battery packs from a few years ago. The build quality is fantastic. The screen is nice to track charging speeds across all devices. You can also easily track total output or output by USB port. Be aware that it is pretty large, though it easily fits into my backpacks. Overall, I highly recommend this and frankly regret not getting it sooner. ... show more
