As a preface, there are cheaper options out there if you need to maximize (or minimize) size and/ or affordability. This is a beast of burden to carry around to be sure, but it gets the job done. What is that job? -If you need a high-output power bank, something that can charge multiple devices at high speeds or power small devices (think 140W max) for a time, while also being just small enough to take on a plane, as well as being quickly rechargeable itself. That's what this is for. -This is an option for (non-outdoors) power-users that need portable power in otherwise challenging situations. If you need an outdoors solution, this isn't it. There are better, more suited to your needs, options for you. If you only need to use this occasionally, don't buy the charging base. Trust me, it's an accessibility luxury, not a necessity. It's necessity? -The charging base is if you deplete this constantly near everyday, not say, once or twice a week. Issues? -This would be infinitely better as a flat pack. The shape is definitely cumbersome in a go bag. -The screen is unnecessarily large. It just accumulates scratches over time. I have no idea why they chose to do this. So? As a power-user myself, I no longer have to worry about being next to a power supply. If this sounds like you, you should get this as well.

I picked this up for traveling when I'm bringing my photography equipment and have room in my camera bag for a power bank of this size. I usually don't run out of power on my phone while traveling as I'm usually using my big professional cameras instead of the camera phone for taking photos and videos. However, this power bank is perfect when you need a very fast charge. It charges my Samsung phone in Super Fast mode, and also can charge my wife's iPhone much quicker than her own charger or smaller power bank. It can fully charge my phone several times before I need to recharge the power bank itself, so it's nice to just connect to this for a very quick charge instead of pulling out the regular charger and finding an outlet (with the appropriate adapter when in other countries). You can use the App to connect to it and view additional settings and such, and that same app can be used for other Anker power products (we also have a large battery bank for computer UPS and power outages, and I can access that through the app as well). I don't really use the app much, though, and it's not needed for regular operation. This is not something you are going to carry around with you in your pocket, though, unless you have really big pockets. It's maybe 5 pounds, as tall as my S23+ phone, and about 1.5 inches thick and wide. So, not the slim/flat type of power bank that you can carry around easily. No problems going through airports with this in my camera backpack. I love the quality of Anker products, and use their USB cables as well as the regular wall outlet charger plug for my phone. This product easily met the quality and standards I expect from Anker.

The Anker Power Bank arrived without a charge and the base charging station did not activate and I couldn't connect to the app via Bluetooth. I searched the Anker site and couldn't find any useful help. I then went to Amazon hoping to be put in contact with Anker. Amazon only gave me the option to request a replacement which I accepted. Then I became curious to see if the Power Bank would accept a charge via USB-C. It worked and after the Power Bank hit 3%, the base charging station recognized the Power Bank and began charging correctly and the Power Bank was able to connect to the app via Bluetooth. I have to return this unit because I had processed the replacement request before I discovered a simple wake-up via USB-C would solve my problem.

This thing is awesome. Battery lasts a long time, it compatible with pretty much anything. It has pass through charging on the magnetic stand. It’s portable I just put it in my backpack and it’s a part of my edc collection. I love how all my anker products are all in one app. I know you’re thinking damn it’s a lil expensive, but it’s worth it. I’m writing this one year and one month (to the day actually haha) after purchasing and no issues. Just wish it came with a case *cough cough wink wink* Anker. But I’ve seen some on here to buy so I might.
