  • * changed my rating extremely stratified* I would give it 0 stars if I could
Color: Black
*New Update* the new power bank arrived very quickly and is brand new not a refurbished or renewed! I am So very pleased with the quick action of Anker, and how they handled this and made it right! They have completely restored my faith in their product and company! Highly recommend!!! *Update* was finally able to get in touch with support! I gave them all the information and less than 12 hours after submitting my claim I got an Email saying my replacement is ordered and would be here in 5-7 days! So with that being said the speed at which they responded once I was able to submit a claim is Exceptional, and they have def restored my faith in the company. Leaving the rating for now untill the the replacement arrives once it arrives and I test it out I will change my rating! I have always bought Anker products and never had an issue! Not one, untill now! I ordered this product from Amazon through the Anker store, so it’s supposed to have at least an 18 month warranty. I charged it when I got it and set it aside like I have done with many many previous power banks! I would occasionally check to make sure it still powered on by pressing the power button and seeing the lights indicate that it was fully charged! Cared for it properly I went to used it yesterday (when I really needed it) and it won’t charge anything. Non of the ports work! So I made due till I got someone where I could plug my phone in. Got it charged then used the Anker cable and plugged the power bank in thinking it might just need to be charged, no indicator lights no nothing, tried all 3 ports finally got the light to flash then plugged the USB-C in to port one (in our port) lights flashed then went off no charge indication no anything after that! I thought man it must really be dead. Left it plugged in over night! STILL NOTHING went through all the trouble shooting steps tried the reset NOTHING. Got on a Ankers website to request a return. Put my info in and they say it doesnt show! Even though I ordered through Amazon and this should have at least an 18 month warranty nothing !!! If anyone at ankers sees this and wants to help please contact me I would really like this unit replaced but can’t get assistance! Very very very disappointed! I have always always used Anker products and was getting ready so buy the Solix F3800, but after this experience I don’t know if I want to spend that kind of money with a company who doesn’t honor their warranty ... show more

  • Costs a Bit More But you Get More
Color: Black
There are many dozens of options for portable chargers on Amazon alone. The problem is determining which ones will perform as advertised, and also last a reasonable amount of time. The Anker drives have been around for a few years and generally receive good reviews. I bought this one on recommendation from a well known reviewer, who has tested multiple units from Anker and found them to be reliable and possess the stated energy storage. This is a bigger issue with more battery chargers than people probably realize. You are just not going to get an honest 24,000mAh from a sub-twenty dollar 12 ounce device. This device is a good size, at 24 ounces, and a reasonable price for a name brand device that actually has the storage capacity you need. I did a quick test with my 2019 iPad Pro, whose battery is dying. I ran it halfway down and then ran a movie while it was charging. The Anker had no trouble with charging up my iPad while I was running the movie at max brightness and regular volume for an hour. It also showed that this usage didn’t even use a fifth of the battery capacity because the device still showed (5 lights) and fully charged after this use. Just what I need to limp along until the 2024 iPads are released. So, the Anker seems to be an honest product at an honest price. It is not light but it’s a reasonable size and weight to travel with and seems of good quality. ... show more

  • (Update: it's dead) Good for laptops -- anything else, not so much
Color: White
Feb 16, 2024 -Update to original review: It randomly stopped working today, after 4 months of light use. Yeah don't buy this. original review at time of purchase: The good: Good for laptops. the power bank is advertised to be 88.5Wh, as per the numbers on the back (other reviewers have pictures of that). In my testing, with a dell latitude laptop via usb c, I used the laptop for 3h, 50m before the power bank died, and the laptop consumed an average power of 20w in the process. 3.83 hrs * 20w gives us 76wh, thereabout. So based on those numbers, you can expect to get roughly 85% of the stated capacity if you're using this to power a laptop (or whatever other thing) **at 20v**. The 5 cells in the power bank are presumably arranged in series, wherein the voltages of each cell would be added together. Nominally, that'd be 18.45v (again, also printed on the back). So, if the voltage is already in the 18-20v ballpark, then outputting 20v should (and does) come very easily for this power bank, as no steep step ups/downs in voltage would be required. This makes the device ideal for laptops. During use with my laptop, it did not get very warm. I'd wager that its temperature rose to about 6 degrees celsius above ambient. The bad: If you're planning on using this primarily for smaller devices like a phone or a tablet, then you may want to look elsewhere. As I explained above, the power bank is best suited for laptops. Hey, "for laptops" is in the product title, after all. at the basic 5v (which many smaller devices charge at) you can only expect about 60% of the 88Wh in real life. Considering that the cells are arranged for a native 20v, that 20v will have to be stepped down to 5v, and there's where a whole 40% of your energy gets wasted. Granted, most phones fast charge at 8-12v nowadays, so that's a little better than just 5v, but still. You may want to choose a 3.7v or a 7.4v power bank if you're primarily interested in charging phones. In the end, this product definitely will still charge your phone, and it'll do it as fast as possible, but it just won't be very efficient. Oh another bad thing is that... the powerbank seems to not charge itself fully, if you interrupt it while it's charging. Could be a fluke, could be an issue. I'm unsure at this time. Also, anker pulled a fast one and didn't include an e-marked cable. That's needed for 65w (or more if you have it) power delivery over usb c. Regular cables like the included one top out at 60w -- which is still more than enough for me, but still. Thought you should know. Also, also, please buy the black version. The white gets dirty like a pig in mud. Gosh. ... show more
