I bought this because our car has a little cover over the 12V port and I thought I might be able to close it over a flush charger. I can't quite. However, it does fit about as flush as something can fit. Some reviews said that it was hard to get the USB cable out and it would pull out the charger instead. I found that some USB cables are somewhat tight in it, others not. My bigger concern would be if the charger could get stuck in the 12V port, which we had happen with a different model Anker charger in our 2002 Dodge Intrepid and it became a permanent fixture. The spring-loaded contacts on the side of this charger are small and round, and I would prefer longer ones to avoid getting stuck. The 12V port for who knows what reason has some holes in the sides of the cylinder where the contacts theoretically could get stuck. I fashioned a little plastic tool and measured how deep the holes were and decided they couldn't line up with the contacts. I've never had one of these chargers get warm much less hot. I don't think that's an issue for this device. ... show more
