Description

This Anderson Metals half union compression tube fitting is made of brass, has a flared tube connection and a male NPT connection, and is suitable for use with fuel and gas systems. It is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. This fitting can be used with copper, brass, aluminum, or steel tubing to connect and disconnect two tubes more easily than with a coupling. It has a flared tube connection on one end and a male National Pipe Taper (NPT) connection on the other for connecting to a female NPT threaded tube, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is part of an assembly that resists mechanical pullout for a more secure connection, and can be assembled and reassembled without affecting the seal. This half union compression tube fitting has an operating temperature range of -65 to +250 degrees F and is suitable for use with fuel and gas systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and vacuum applications.Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.     • Fit my HVAC vacuum pump perfectly.

Fit perfectly on my MasterCool Vacuum pump. I was looking to improve my vacuum times, I recently purchased a Yellow Jacket vacuum pump tree that had a 1/2" connection. The original connection was 5/16" and 1/4", which wouldn't work. This connection worked flawlessly, I tested it last night on a 30lb recovery bottle. I was able to pull down to 500 microns in 6min,27sec, which is amazingly fast. Using a set of Fieldpiece SMAN manifold typical time is about 20-30 minutes. The brass fitting was perfect, no burs or blemishes. The treads were true and I was able to securely connect a my hoses to it. Superb quality, zero issues at a decent price. Thanks! ... show more

My 5/8 flex gas line requires a 5/8 Flare adapter with a 15/16 thread, which is significantly larger than the thread on this adapter. I had to take my flex line to Home Depot and had the same issue with their 5/8 brass fitting (too small), but their 5/8 steel fitting, marked as "5/8 Flare with 15/16 thread" worked fine. Used on a propane hose to connect a quick disconnect fitting on it. Easy to use the threads were not banged up and it’s held up for a couple years now and will probably out last the hose.

Picked this up to use with my new Camp Chef stove. I changed the hose to a longer length with a quick connect. Had to use This Anderson Fitting to connect the original Camp Chef hose and regulator to a new matching Quick Connect. To Convert the Original camp Chef hoes and regular so it can connect to the 12' hose so it can still run off a freestanding standard propane BBQ tank when not next to camper.
