When you're out on the water after dusk you definitely want to be seen. This light is perfect for that. It was easy to install and it's a nice, bright light. Very good quality and I expected to last a long time.

Bright, and used in non design application

Did not use as actually designed. Used the light on a UTV whip light vs buying another whip light for $60. Nice a bright, and bulb can be changed out when needed.

Bright and seems rugged

This was relatively easy to install, however I think some U-shaped brackets would be nice for a pontoon top. Nevertheless, I only drilled one hole (used one of the existing holes from the old light), and it’s only attached using two of the four bracket holes. This is why I think a pair of U-brackets would be nice, and no drilling would be necessary. This is a really bright light. We took the boat out on the water to watch fireworks on July 4th (it was pretty dark with no moon that night) and the light lit up the passenger area of the boat like turning on the dome light in a car. Works well so far, easy to install, seems pretty bright. It does seem pretty cheaply made but hey, the price is right. I like the swivel feature and the brightness. I just zip tied it to the top of my radar/ tow arch and ran some wires down to a cigarette lighter plug. Done. Someday maybe I'll wire it correctly lol. Works for now. I had to add wire length to reach my helm where the cigarette lighter plug is. Does not seem super durable but should work for a few years. ... show more
