First day using it and so far so good. Joints are coming out clean as long as I rotate the tube slightly midway through otherwise it looks like a stop sign. Not a big deal because I had to do the same thing with HILMOR to avoid cracking. On first look I questioned the build quality but it’s holding up pretty darned good. After 3 months of daily use it held up very well. There is a set screw that fell out so the spike doesn’t return automatically and tends to come out. This doesn’t affect the usability but it does slow down the process by a couple of seconds. I’m still using it almost daily. Week with the money.

Common sense is a must. You can oversize or split the pipe. But the tool itself worked great. I used it to install my own HVAC coil and compressor. Would recommend leaving this to the professionals. I have a background in HVAC and understand what can and can't be done.

I like the expander BUT it doesn't have the correct stops. When expanding the tube it does stop allowing you to pump it any further BUT, all tube's will be oversized and good luck getting braze to fill the .020 gaps it makes! Also, on the lines it will have uneven expansion because of the design. What i did was expand a little, release pressure, measure the diameter, rotate the tube, then expand some more and repeat the process. It takes a while to do just one but the tubes turned out ok the way i did it. I only needed to swage 5 joints so it was worth it. If your buying this to do more I'd get a REAL tool instead of this cheap no name overseas stuff

I think the better way to use it for hard copper pipes is heating the pipes first to avoid any cracks
