After 7 years of parking outside, the local woodrats discovered my van. Over the course of 2 months, they chewed through ~25 wires, fortunately in easy to detect and DIY repair locations. I tried a number of techniques to keep them out, including live trapping, leaving my engine hood open, peppermint/balsam fir oil without success. I decided to try 24" flashing, since I only drive my van occasionally. It was far cheaper to order the same brand from the manufacturer on Amazon than to procure a roll from my local big box stores. The 50' roll was the perfect size for my 136" wheelbase van. It has been over a month, and have been no signs of rodents inside the barrier. Previously they were getting into the engine compartment nearly nightly. The barrier has also held up to multiple windstorms with minimal adjustment. It will be mildly painful to remove when I need to use my van, but that is outweighed by the savings of time and money for electrical repairs. ... show more

Great for protecting wooden beehive covers. Item was as described, although with normal/daily apiary use we wish that we had bought the next thicker version. Easy to cut, easy to bend into shape. We just used a straight edge and a utility razor knife to score the metal repeatedly until it cut through! Easy Peasy! ... show more

I AM A GIRL. I MENTION THAT BECAUSE MEN ARE JUST PLAIN STRONGER WITH BUILDING STUFF...THAT IS A FACT! I BUILT A 6 FOOT FENCE MYSELF...I HAVE A NEIGHBOR THAT HATES CATS AND I LOVE THEM. I BUILT A 4 FOOT WOOD FENCE ON TOP AND PUT THIS AWESOME ALUMINUM FLASHING ON THE BOTTOM SO THE CATS DON'T GO UNDER IT. IT WAS MUCH EASIER THAN I HAD ANTISIPATED. I DID BUY GLOVES BEFORE PUTTING IT UP JUST IN CASE. IT WAS VERY EASY TO FASTEN SCREWS INTO THE WOOD FENCE. I SAVED MONEY BECAUSE THE PRICE OF WOOD HAS SKYROCKETED LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE. Great quality aluminum flashing. Size is 24" wide by 50 foot long. This flashing is thicker than the aluminum carried at the big box home improvement stores. The cost per foot for this 50 foot length was much cheaper than then 10 foot length from local stores and allowed more efficient use of the product. ... show more
