    • Rubber gasket sucks to put in place, extra bulb hole

The lights fit great and look good. The gasket takes some time to get it to fit correctly while putting in the light. Also, there is an extra brake light hole so I ordered another set of bulb pigtails to solder in, sockets, and bulbs from a local parts store to make them look right. rubber gasket and hole to be filled need some work. heat gun, glue and patience need for final installation. my installation looks very good and I am very happy with the purchase and look.     • Rubber housing DOES NOT FIT!

First things first, the rubber weather seal that the housing sits in DOES NOT FIT, PERIOD. It's cheap crap, and so you will have to use the stock gasket from the original taillights on your vehicle. The next problem is that all the solid adhesive gunk they (AmeriLite) use causes a huge sticky mess when trying to get it off, which is almost impossible to do. Now if all the holes lined up perfectly, that would be great... but the back of the light housing isn't quite OEM dimensions either, but almost! (Oh, and be careful screwing the taillights back on the vehicle. These things are WAY easy to crack) Bottom line: You get what you pay for. Looks cool, but will require some elbow grease... or gunk. ... show more

I had these before on my older Excursion and I loved the look. I bought them for my new X and the rubber around the edge that is made to to keep the seal was a huge issue to me. It was like they had sat around for a kooky time with the rubber deformed or in an awkward position and kind of harden is this cumbersome position. When I tried to put the rubber around the lights to fasten in place it was next to impossible. Once I get 3 corners fitted properly and try for the 4th it was hell. In the process I accidentally broke a corner piece of one of the lights trying to get the rubber in place. ... show more
