This hardside expandable luggage has become a permanent member of my short trips essentials. If you pack everything wisely, its 20-inch size would prove to be perfect choice for quick getaways. The hard shell keeps things safe from knocks and bumps on the road. The zippers on and inside the bag helps you keep everything organized and also gives you peace of mind knowing your stuff is still in one piece. Its also expandable, letting you fit in a few extra clothes and gifts for friends and family on your way back. Comes in three beautiful colors to choose from. I bought it for my wife in peach color and it looks different and stylish at the same time. It is also equipped with durable spinner wheels and I love how it rolls on them smoothly. Long gone are the days of dragging your bag around the airport. Relatively easy to maneuver through crowds, just pull the handle out and off you go. It even fits perfectly in the overhead bins. My wife got a lot of compliments on it and her friends often asked her where she found it. Overall, this luggage has definitely made my travel experience so much better. I wish it was a littler cheaper though.

If I’m going to be rolling my suitcase through an airport, I want it to roll easily and smoothly. This bag allows me to do just that. No wobbles and jerks, smooth turnings and all. It’s very nice that way. If I’m going to be rolling my suitcase through an airport, I don’t want the handle to be so short that I have to bend over to hold on to it. This is one of those rare instances where I get what I want! The handle is easy to hold and easy to adjust. I’m not all that tall (5’9”) but the handle pulls out more than enough for me. It also adjusts easily to be the correct length for a much shorter person as well. But does it have enough room to store your belongings? Well, not all of your belongings, but enough for a trip. The sides of this bag are a cross between a soft bag and a hard-shell bag (being closer to a hard-shell bag). But it’s enough to protect your items, though I wouldn’t want to pack your fine china in it. There’s plenty of room (a function of the flexible sides with dividers, zippable bags, tie-downs and two “hidden” compartments in between the main suitcase area and the outer shell. I wondered at first why there was a zipper in the middle of the fabric lining (and a zipper without a pull-tab at that), but then I figured out how to unzip the zipper (you just use your fingertip to pull it down) and could then get to the space behind the lining. It’s not really that much of a secret storage area (you can see the zipper and feel whatever is behind it through the lining), but it would be good to store your dirty clothes away from the clean ones. I don’t know why they didn’t include a zipper pull though (the zipper is sewn so that the attachment point of a pull is on the underside of the zipper). Nevertheless, having the two sides of the carry-on have a separate area for dirty clothes (or whatever) is useful. I’ll mention here that the zippers are very nice. I didn’t have any difficulties in zipping or unzipping them. The suitcase has a zippered expandable option so that you can fit even more into the carry-on. I think that the recommendation that you don’t expand it when you’re going so you can have room to carry everything when you’re coming back is a good one. Again, it’s a suitcase with all the good features that you might expect. But what I really like about this bag is the handle and the wheels. They will remove a lot of frustration from my traveling right from the start!

This is a compact-size American Tourister carry-on luggage that is smartly designed for general travel. Internal and external features allow me to organize and carry a significant amount of gear. The luggage's external size is 22" x 15" x 9.5" while the internal dimensions are 19.5" x 14.5" x 9.5". Empty weight is just over 7 pounds. The case comes in under the carry-on size limits for SouthWest but is 1" over for Delta Airlines! The lack of sizing standards for airlines is frustrating. The inside of the bag is nylon lined with an access zipper that exposes the wheel and pull-handle hardware. It's possible to pack a few things underneath the liner, maybe extra cash or back-up travel documents for protection if desired. If I need to open the bag for TSA inspection an X-strap keeps clothing in place on one side while the opposite side has a zippered mesh door with zipped pockets to keep loose items easy to access and in place. The center seam can be unzipped and expanded 1.5 inches which is great when packing and then with a little pressure I can compress it back down to the original size. The exterior of the luggage is made from a tough and lightweight ABS plastic and American Tourister provides a 10 year limited warranty against failure on the handles, zippers and construction. Warranty is activated by photographing a uniquely numbered card that comes with bag and then sending the photo to a registration site. The travel wheels allow the case to roll and spin in all directions easily and even when fully loaded it's a breeze to pull it around. The retractable pull handle is height adjustable and there are wide and strong carry handles on the top and side. Cons: None! I haven't found any design or construction concerns and the bag meets or exceeds my expectations. Bottom Line: This carry-on can be ordered in various colors and similarly made luggage is available in additional sizes. I am a big fan of this bag as it's sturdy, has a well-designed interior that makes packing and TSA inspection much quicker and easier. It allows some for compression which is handy if I happen to pick up additional items on my travels. It qualifies as a carry-on size for some but not all airlines so store the "size tag" inside the lining as a quick reminder to know whether it will qualify as a carry-on or checked bag.

This little suitcase has handled a few trips already without any issues. It fits more than you'd expect for a 20 inch bag enough for 4–5 days easily. The spinner wheels roll smoothly, and the hard shell feels tough. I do wish the inside divider had a pocket for smaller items, but that’s minor. Great option if you can get it.
