I must say I was really skeptical of this stand when I saw the price but decided to order it anyhow and glad I did. Comparable stands are starting for about $50 - $60 more. For starters, this entire stand came in one box. The stand itself isn't anything flimsy as I sort of expected may be the case. With the T-bars on top, the minimum height is a little bit under 8 feet and easily goes to 10 feet. I believe that it goes a foot or so higher (11-12) but does seem a little less stable (as is the case with all top heavy things). The manual is just a 1 page picture and a little hard to see, but the only thing i was initially puzzled about was how the middle of the I-beam went together. You can set this up so the I beam is either 10' wide, 5' wide, or just the side stands. I am using it just with the side stands right now until I get some more lights. The T-bar and I-beam are 1.5 inches. I also purchased some "ADJ Products 1.5-Inch Plastic o Clamp 360 Degree Wrap Around Clamp" which help with the mounting of the lights for less than $5 each. They weren't necessary but just my preference. This think does come with a lot of bolts with wing nuts so you can position your lights in several places. Two Issues I had: 1. One on the side stands was missing a knob that locks the tripod legs out. I wrote the seller, (American Sound Connection) and had the missing piece in two 2 days. 2. One of the I-Beam pieces on 1 side was slide long by about 1/8 of an inch. Doesn't sound that bad right. Well, the only problem with this was that I couldn't insert the locking pin through the Beam for that side. It still held well because it was clamped down on the side. But for security purposes, I cut a little (1/8 of an inch) of the end of the beam with a hacksaw and it's good to go. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase

Arrived in a huge box, but not a major issue. Have used several times for DJ at weddings and other events. Easiest to set up with 2 people, but can be done by one if needed. I have only had about 50 pounds of load on the system, but proper placement and some common sense made for no problems. (Don't put heavy lights in the center, space things out, watch the weight, etc...). All in all a very decent setup for the money! I did loose a couple of the nuts from the locking knobs, but a trip to the hardware store took care of that quickly.

This is pretty straightforward to assemble. The tripods are significantly better quality than I anticipated. Honestly all of the main components are built and designed well. I share the same concerns as other about the longevity of the clamps. As long as you don’t torque down on them too hard they should be fine for occasional use. This is not designed to take a beating. It is best suited to a permanent install or occasional use. I don’t plan to ever fully disassemble mine so hopefully that helps the clamps last longer. The fact that you can use this with or without the truss is amazing. I have a gig coming up where I plan to use just the truss and secure it to a wooden beam with straps. This whole system is very versatile and massively over delivers for the price.

All I gotta say is YES YES YES!! This is a great purchase for anyone looking to start up a DJ business, or just any place looking for a super easy to setup and use lighting truss. It comes with everything you need to both setup the frame and mount your lights. I used the extra t-bars in the center instead of on top to create a frame for a projector screen and that worked out pretty great too! This thing is sturdy. The legs go extra wide if you need which was great because I had a lot of rotating heads on my setup that would wiggle stuff around a lot. This thing barely moved with all of them running scenes. Make sure to setup the center supports correctly or you'll end up looking stupid...js...

I'll start with the vendor/order. I opened the hardware box first and noticed all the parts were loose, like perhaps this was an open box item. One of the main connectors was shattered and some of the bolts were missing. Contacted the seller who agreed to a refund if l sent it back at my cost. I refused and sent pictures of the product, they apologized, and agreed to ship out a replacement. New one arrived, all the parts checked out except for one of the stands had a large dent on one of the legs. Being that I still had the original unit I was able to swap out a good stand and have a complete set. Functionality: After a little trial and error I was able to put it together properly. Lifting the truss was an issue as the stands are lightweight and would lift whenever I would lift a side. Once set up it does the job. Final thoughts: The vendor came through with a resolution. The unit components are of poor quality. The best part is the price. Need to be careful not to over tighten the hardware as it might crack. Also definitely need two people to set up and take down. If you do it alone you may stress the plastic components at the other end, causing it to break.

OK I got the truss and I was a little skeptical about it because of 1 the price and 2 the package it was delivered in but to my surprise every thing was there and it was relatively easy to put together the pictures do not do it justice it is a very big light truss I really like it it's very sturdy and currently I have for colordash par and it seems to be holding very well I'm very pleased and I definitely recommend this for any professional or beginner DJ trying to do a intermediate to large light show definitely worth the money and in my opinion is better than some of the more expensive ones
