What I ORDERED was a women's small. What I received was a unisex S/M. I did a try on yesterday, and what's "odd" is that while the robe is pretty long (relative to what is shown in the picture on listing) the sleeves actually fit pretty well. The fabric itself seems to be a medium to heavy cotton terry, which is what I was looking for. For reference, I'm 4'11, 119 lbs. Even at that, the sleeves seem on the shortish side, but IF it doesn't shrink in washing, the sleeves should be "okay". Just a word to anyone considering ordering this robe that you may or may not actually receive a "woman's" robe. The one I received is NOT women's sizing--it's unisex. Mostly, I decided to take a chance on this one because the only other dark blue cotton terry robe I found in the style I've been looking for is priced @ $124. So the price was right on this one, and after washing it, I'll decide whether I need to shorten it to my desired length, which is the length SHOWN in the picture. Appears to be good quality terry and construction seems good so far. ETA after first washing/drying in dryer at medium heat: NICE robe, in spite of my concern over sizing. Minimal shrinkage, and I LIKE the sleeve length. I wish the robe itself was a little shorter (knee length), but it's acceptable while I decide if it's worth the effort to take up the hem a few inches. The fabric came through wash/dry nicely. No pulled threads so far, and the terry is substantial without being TOO heavy/thick. I'm upgrading this to four stars. ... show more

The robe wasn’t as soft as I thought it would be, it sheds quite a bit even after washing and drying it, and it’s very heavy. The weight makes it less comfortable to wear. It is heavy duty, durable and a great length. I think it would work well for a man, but I’m not so sure that it’s for me. Too late to return as it was a gift and I washed it already. The robe I received does not equal the measurements for a S/M in that the sleeve is a 17 inch. & the length is 38 in. which isn't what the website states. This appears to be an extra small. It was washed/dried according to instructions. Tried it on, sleeves are 2 in too short, length is a bit below the knee, nothing like the picture! Disappointed as have purchased other things from this company before and it was good. Other than that, the material is heavy duty, well made, and comfortable for a 100% cotton material. I know I would have liked this robe however not sure if I will ever get the right size for I am a true smaller sized medium and should have no trouble fitting this. UPDATE: I decided to give it another try, ordered the size "small" and it fit just right even after washing! I can't say enough good things about this robe, it is well made, very soft, like a gentle caress to the skin, doesn't shed much after the initial wash, and is just a "pampering" experience all the way around. It does have a loose string here or there which is easy to snip off. Nothing like giving something a second chance, so glad I did! ... show more
