  • Works great with some minor modifications
Size: 6-13 Youth Color: Pink
These skates work great with 2 minor modifications. I read the reviews on the downfalls of these skates and proactively made some mods which worked great: 1. Add red loctite to the screws. There are screws that allow you to adjust the skates size, and these screws also hold the skates together. Other reviewers state that these fall off causing the skates to come apart. Red loctite will keep them in place. Red loctite is super strong, but the screw can still be removed with a wrench if you need to adjust the size in the future. 2. Wrap velcrow around the strap locks. Reviewers stated that the strap lock comes off due to pressure. Wrapping the strap lock with velcro prevented the straps from coming undone. With these mods my daughter had a great day skating. The double blades allow her to stand and walk around on the ice. ... show more

  • They aren't "ice skates" - do not waste your money
Size: 6-13 Youth Color: Pink
These are not ice skates in the traditional sense of the word. They are more like the equivalent of one of those old "Flexible Flyer" sleds with metal runners - but strapped to your child's unsupported feet. Should have known better than to buy these but thought that they would be easier for a small child to use than a single-blade skate. Wrong. My 4 year old shuffled around in these for 2-3 minutes, fell a bunch, and gave up. Tried an old pair of child's CCM skates, single blade, barely sharpened, and within 5 minutes she was flying around without any issues. I could cover the shoddy construction, the total lack of any sharp edge, the inability of the poorly designed strap system to hold the skates to your kid's boot, but ultimately would be wasting your time. Don't buy these. The absolute cheapest, garbage-tier single-blade skates out there are about $17 more but will actually function for their intended purpose. ... show more

  • Worth buying and modifying the straps for the price.
Size: 6-13 Youth Color: Pink
I read the other reviews before buying them knowing that I'd have to rig the straps or modify them with Velcro straps. Took my two year old skating for the first time with the skates and the straps stayed on as I knotted them and then tied the extra strap at the ends together. A side note the straps are not how they appear on the box- a bit misleading. Instead of the straps falling off as I expected the wing nut fell out when she was skating and her skates fell apart. That was the end of our skating. I will buy another wing nut- easily fixable. Many people commented on how cute they were. My daughter was confident enough to try to skate on her own with these skates. For the price they are worth buying them and modifying them. ... show more

  • Recommend for little kiddos
Size: 6-13 Youth Color: Black
I bought these for my 3-year-old so that I could skate with my six-year-old and teach her how to ice skate. Last year I had skates on both of them, and it was a disaster. Both were hanging onto me and we fell - alot! While these skates don't glide across the ice like true ice skates, they work fantastic for my purpose. The 3-year-old "walks" in these, stepping from foot to foot. But it keeps him happy on the ice. I totally recommend these skates! ... show more

  • My 2 year old had a blast!
Size: 6-13 Youth Color: Pink
These skates were the best invention ever for babies that want to skate. My 2 yr old daughter who wears a size 5 in infant shoes is very independent and wants to do everything her big sister does. I already imagined a meltdown had I not found these for her to participate with us for holiday skating. The quality was great. I did wish the velcro went all the way around but with some thread and needle I was able to tailor them to her foot size to fit snug. They worked great and held on tight for the 2 hrs she skated. She had a blast. She was even able to skate a few seconds without assistance (although I hovered like a military helocopter). Highly recommend!!! They extend to fit your kid as they grow! ... show more

  • Average product but not many other options to choose from
Size: 6-13 Youth Color: Pink
My 3 year old has room to grow, but my 5 year old has already topped out on the maximum size this skate offers. I've had to put feet back in the skates numerous times to get through an entire skating session. I could make some modifications to make the product work better for us, but that's not why I bought it. ... show more

  • Perfect for little kud to scoot around after dad on the ice
Size: 6-13 Youth Color: Black
The plastic on the bottom is sturdy and the metal runners are also. The strap is pretty terrible. It would be so easy to put something else on for a strap. They work perfect for my 4 year ok to scoot around on the ice. For the price they are perfect. Buying an expensive pair of skates would be a waste. He will use them this year and probably next year before passing them down to his little brother. So I definitely will get my moneys worth. Now he keeps asking to go ice skating! ... show more

  • Tie in the skate with a hockey lace and you're all set.
Size: 6-13 Youth Color: Black
As many reviews mentioned the straps that come with these skates are garbage, but you can tie a kids boot in pretty tightly with a hockey skate lace.
