There is an old saying: “You get what you pay for”. I purposely bought this product because it was the cheapest one on Amazon and I did get what I paid for. I assembled the inflator and used it on a basketball. It worked just fine, but when I removed the needle the assembly fell apart. I was able to reassemble it, but the fittings were no longer tight and, on future attempts, the air just went out of the connector and none got into the basketball. Lesson learned. ... show more

It's always nice to carry a small portable pump set in your sports bag in case one of your sports balls need inflation. I'm usually either playing basketball or volleyball, so you can see where this can come in handy. It's got a nice assortment of inflation needles that I always seem to need. All in one box, quick little pump for balls or bike tires and more, you get extra needles and extenders, you could keep in the tube when not in use but have to take out to pump I just keep in little zip lock bag.

This pump is surprisingly small yet also surprisingly strong and easy to use. With little effort and little travel the pump quickly inflates all of my sports balls to their recommended pressures. The gage also works very well and eliminates the guess work I’ve been accustomed to. Up until now it’s basically been trial-and-error when it comes to finding the right pressure, i.e. inflate, squeeze, bounce…inflate, squeeze, bounce…repeat. I like that this is no longer an issue. The pump also comes with 5 needles, a small extension hose and 2 inflation nozzles for balloons, beachballs, pool-toys/rafts, etc. Having so many spare needles is nice in case the user tends to lose or break things, but even one should be enough if you moisten it before inserting, as recommended, and use the flex hose to prevent unnecessary force and bending from being applied to the needle during pumps. This pump is a good deal and easily portable, making it a must-have to keep near your sporting equipment. ... show more

This pump is perfect for throwing into a sports bag or your car so you have one when you need it. It come with multiple tips and a pressure gauge. It would be nice if it has a case or bag to keep everything in one place. You could really just place the extra tips and gauge in a separate bag for storage. As a base you just need the pump, flexible hose, and a sports ball needle. There is a holder on the side for the flexible hose. I like the inclusion of the flexible hose since this is a small pump there is a good amount of movement while you are using it, which could cause the needle to get bent or break. The flex hose helps prevent damage to the needle. The construction feels solid for plastic and it should hold up in a sports bag. It is easy to use and will get the job done. It might take a while to inflate a completely deflated ball due to capacity. Overall this is a great sports pump to carry around in a sports bag so that you have it when you need it. ... show more

This is a great little air pump for inflating sports balls. It is compact and easy to carry in a pocket or bag. This set comes with four needles, two nozzles, and a hose/tube with another needle for flexible application. In addition, this set comes with a pressure gauge to help test pressure before and/or after inflation (you'll have to connect a needle to the gauge to insert into a sports ball). Given all the accessories, it is nice that the needles and nozzles all fit inside the clear end of the pump and the flexible tube/hose attaches to the side of the pump. This pump does a good job inflating balls quickly as it pumps on both the pull and push. This is a much better pump than other cheaply made ones so I would recommend this for anyone who plays basketball, football, volleyball, or soccer regularly. ... show more

This little pump is perfect for my needs. I am a soccer and basketball recreational league referee, and having a pump handy is so helpful to add or remove air. It will work great for all those balls in your garage that lose air over the winter. This pump includes everything you need, including 5 needles that seem like they will hold up well. It has beach ball type inflators as well. The tire pressure gauge is handy for a vehicle or bike. The hose unscrews from the pump and snaps on to the side of the pump making it even more compact when not in use. The plastic would likely break if it gets mistreated, but as long as you're careful, this pump should hold up well and meet your needs. ... show more

At first, I wasn't getting much inflation to my ball but then I realized that I didn't tighten down the connections very well. Once I tightened those down, wow, it pumped the ball extremely fast. As advertised, it pumps air on both the pull and push actions. And it is not hard to push and pull. I am super impressed with this little pump. I often need to pump up balls for the grandkids and this little pump is going to be very handy for that. I am very glad I got it! The ball pressure gauge is pretty cool as well. ... show more
