I had a couple others step stools before this one, but they were plastic and did not hold up to my expectations; my 3 year olds lost their balance and fell a few times because the top step wasn't wide enough. This step stool is wide enough and sturdy enough that I no longer have to worry about them falling off, and I have no doubt this will last for many years. Also, I read that a few people had issues with the steps fitting into the slots on the sides; for me, it was a very tight fit and I had to use my body weight to get it together, but it is very extremely study. I am so, so happy with this purchase.

This little stool is easy to assemble. It is very sturdy, I weigh 200lbs and it certainly has no problem with my weight. I bought it for my Granddaughter, 18months, to wash her hands at the bathroom sink. I will probably use it for potty training with seat on adult toilet (no little potty seats on floor for me to empty). It is so nice looking and the hand holds on it make it great for little ones to move to sink and back against wall when not being used. In fact, my granddaughter enjoys moving it up to sink and back to its wall position. Go figure toddlers.
