I've snowshoe- ed for over 50 years. My experience goes back to the old bentwood and caned models. I've had several different designs over the years and I've learned the single most important feature in a snowshoe is the binding. How well they hold your foot and how easily they are to put on and off. These shoes are the best in that respect. After receiving and trying the first pair I ordered two more pair. One bit of advise on size; unless you're going to the mountains or somewhere where you're going to encounter 3'+ of snow, go for the smaller/shorter size regardless of your weight. Most people will be using them on trails used by many others or groomed and will never need the extra length to stay above the snow. Go for the shorter, light weight and more maneuverable model. ... show more

    • Pretty darn good for the price
Pleasantly surprised by how these worked my first time out, i just got back. Frames are light weight and the binding really wrap around your feet well. Free advice, place your boots in the snow shoes in your living room and adjjst the heel strap so you are not doing it out in the cold and snow. They have decent float for being hiking snowshoes. I have been snowshoeing since i was a kid and we wore the big old beaver tail style while we were late season huntkng in far northern Minnesota. The poles that come with these are junk, as least for a 211 lb man. Might be ok for an 11 year old kid? Mind you these are recreational snow shoes and i use the. To take my dogs out for walks in the woods in the winter. I am not sure i would go trekking too far in these. Oh and tou will sweat, a long walk in these is akin to leg day at the gym. ... show more

I recently purchased a pair of snowshoes for myself and my husband saw how much easier it was for me to walk to and from work in the snow, so he decided he needed a pair as well. He is now in-love with these snowshoes. They fit him perfectly and he loves the color. They are lightweight, but the quality is high and they are well made. This set of snow shoes came with the poles, the snowshoes and a nice canvas bag to carry everything in or to store everything when you are not using the snowshoes. These are Not Durable at all! After 2 1/2 miles the side attachments are already ripping. Not worth the $60. I paid for them. All of it is made with a hard plastic, except the aluminum frame. The only thing good about these are they are easy to use and put on. I am hoping to get a few more miles out of them. ... show more

Bought these and love the design and price point. There were very clear manufacturing defects that prevented me from using the snowshoes, and returning them I had to find my own box and take them to the UPS Store which is such a hassle compared to normal Amazon returns
