I’m an iPad fan, but I had to finally replace my iPad mini (1st generation) which lasted for years. I decided to try the Amazon Fire because I really use the mini for streaming and browsing, and I didn’t want to break the bank and invest in another iPad. Moral of the story is - I LOVE IT!!! The Amazon Fire is awesome. It does everything that I could ask - stream, browse, takes pictures, email. What a fantastic little tablet!!! My only suggestion to the makers of the device would be to move the on/off switch to the top of the tablet as I often hit that inadvertently when I am trying to adjust the volume (which is right above the on/off). Other than that, this device is a total winner!!

This was the best purchase I bought. I use it at church for noted on the onenote app and use the Bible app and I also let my niece watch videos on it while we're at lunch.

This cover is fraying on the edges after 18 months. The older style for older Fire 8 was much more durable but didn't fit this model. Very disappointed in the quality.

This cover is great! It has a very sturdy yet lightweight feel and is true to the color in the photo. I carry my Kindle in my bag and this cover does a great job of protecting it and staying closed. I don’t use it as a stand much, but have not had any issues when I do use it as one.

Not a bad cover. I thing I don't like so much is that it only has one viewing angle. You don't have the option of a high angle and a low angle like you do with those tri-fold covers. Other than that, it's sturdy, durable and it does the job. P/s To clarify, it can be place horizontally or vertically but in the horizontal placement you only have the option of 1 viewing angle, not 2.

My second Amazon Fire my previous one is over 10 years old and still works but updates will be unable to use it on web. I mostly read books on it at night but will try other things on new one. I rarely need help but Amazon support is amazing knowledgeable and very patient and polite.
