The material is the soft and stretchy knit material, but feels reasonably weighty and tightly knit. There will be some further stretching with this kind of material with wear, but it feels like the material is substantial and will hopefully retain it's shape, but I will hand wash it. The fit is good and more consistently sized in arms, waist, hips, and length than many other t-shirt dresses on Amazon which I have bought. I bought this fabric and also in black for a trip to Thailand because you need to have shoulders covered in temples. We have yet to go! But this dress fits and drapes nicely. It's modest, pretty and flattering.

I like this dress. The fabric is thin but not see-through; a good summer weight. I am 5 ft 8, and the dress just covers my ankles. That’s perfect because it’s not so long or so full at the hem that I would trip over it.
