This review is for the light colored ones: Because I ordered the other ones in the wrong size, I decided to follow their size chart this time. I should have listened to that voice inside my head that said it didn't seem right. The other ones were 2 sizes up from these.... These are definitely too tight. The whole time I needed the size between the size the black ones were and the size these were. Ugh!!! Why do so many clothing manufacturers have inaccurate size charts?! I see this All. The. Time! So I have to return these and get in the correct size. I hate returning things like underwear because obviously I need them and now I have to wait even longer... because their size chart isn't accurate... sigh. My original review had 5 stars, but I took a star away because of their size chart issue. If it had been correct all along, I would have had the right size the first time. I was right when my inner voice told me not to trust the chart. This review is for the black ones: So, my bad, I ordered a size too large, however, I'm not returning them because they are super comfortable! Next order I went down 2 sizes and I'm waiting on them to arrive. I have a huge problem with wedgies! No matter who made the underwear or if they are bikini or brief or whatever, it happens all.the.time.!!! Not with these, though, and that's why I'm not returning them even tho these are a bit loose... but because they are cotton, I'm hoping they will shrink just a little bit and they'll be fine. I'm putting them in dryer on purpose to shrink hopefully... fingers crossed. I will review the correct size when I get them, but right now I will say I am happy with these. They are soft, the colour didn't fade when I washed them, and they are COMFORTABLE. ... show more

I have had a terrible time with underwear the last few years. I've tried so many different brands. I've been trying to find some good cotton undies, as polyester and whatever other materials havent been working out for me. I have over 30 pair that don't fit, are not cotton or are just plain uncomfortable. No more thongs suffocating my lady bits. I'm so happy I found these. I've ordered 3 sets now and I have been tossing all my old undies I can't stand to wear anymore. They do run slightly small, I ordered size sm and could potentially get a md, as the sides dig into me and leave an indent in my fat, but it doesn't bother/itch me like on other pairs. They might be too big elsewhere if I sized up, the small fits my butt good. No panty lines, I wear leggings almost every day. My only complaint is the stitching on the inside is poorly done. One week wearing pads and the sticky side peeled a bunch of threads loose. 1st set are pretty frayed on the inside already. They held up in the wash/dryer well though. I am amazed at the nice quality of this set of Amazon Essentials bikini briefs which are made in Sri Lanka. The fabric is nice, the stitching is good, the garment sizes are standard as they should be, they look nice, and they run true to size. You do have to be careful to hang them to dry or lay flat (directions say to lay flat) after washing. They are worth the extra effort, considering how hard it is to find good quality cotton underwear today, and at this cost no less! I washed mine on a quick wash using our Southern temperature tap water (not warm or hot water) in washing machine and then hung most to dry. I did put two in the dryer for about 2 minutes before hanging and did lay 2 pr. flat to dry just to see if there was any difference. They all looked the same the next morning. Due to 95% cotton, putting them in clothes dryer would not be advisable even if recommended. I always hang my underwear to dry anyway, along with cotton tops, and some other clothes. I even dry heavy clothes such as blue jeans for only about 6 or 7 minutes and then hang them to dry. They last forever that way. I'm pleased with the quality of Amazon's basic essential bikinis, plan to buy another set just to have in reserve, and am sure to pass the word. 12/18/2022 Update: Just for size reference I'm currently 137 lbs., 5' and 1" tall, have excess weight in stomach and seat, wear medium or sometimes a small in leggings, and wear 10 in stretchy pants and 12 in pants that run small or have little stretch. Amazon Essentials Cotton Bikini in XL fit me well. 12/20/22 Update: Just received a 6 pair set of same items. As with the prior pairs, the colors remain stable when washed on a cool temperature. After washing, I tested them by letting them tumble dry for just a few minutes, curious to see if that would at all be viable. As soon as the dryer was warm (warm air inside, but the top of the dryer not yet warm), I put them in wet. I counted 38 drum turns and then stopped the dryer. The actual cotton body stayed fine, but the waist band material and the band around the legs were just starting to shrink/curl/pull. It's clearly necessary to use the air-dry setting if putting them in the dryer, unless you want to risk ruining them. This underwear is tag free, with brand, care, and other information printed on the back top of each item. The print is dark and does show a little through the back of some of the prints. I really like this underwear and wouldn't hesitate to purchase additional pairs. ... show more

I have been searching high and low for comfortable, moderate coverage undies, that I can wear daily and also use during Aunt Flo's monthly visits. So many undies out there don't work well with maxi pads; the pads don't stay put, and the wings don't attach right, due to the fabric and the length of the crotch of the undies. I read through several reviews, and I ordered one size up, and they fit perfectly. They aren't too big, hold their shape (don't stretch out after a couple of hours of wear), and they retained their size and shape after washing in cold water and tumble-drying on low. No irritation from the elastic around the legs or waist, and they are so thin that there are NO panty lines that show. These may be the best-kept secret in ladies briefs. ... show more
