I love most Amazon Essentials clothing, and I really love this shirt! While this is NOT a flannel shirt, it's a good quality cotton shirt that has a nice drape to it and is not sheer. I'm 5ft-3in, and my measurements are 36-29-36. At my height, this shirt hits me just at the top of my thighs/mid rear. I purchased a small and it fits me perfectly. It's neither tight or loose. I think I could have even purchased an XS for a more "fitted" look, since I always wear a white tank tops underneath, so I'd still be able to wear it even if I wasn't able button the second button. I purchased the black/white, gradient/plaid and plan on getting other colors later on. Although it's not a "fitted" shirt style, it doesn't look sloppy either. (It doesn't look boxy and shapeless on me.) This shirt is made with good quality fabric that is soft, but doesn't appear to fade or shrink after washing. I wash it in cool or warm water (regular or gentle cycle) and either hang up to dry, or place in the dryer on a low setting. When immediately pulled out from the dryer after it stops, it requires little to no ironing. The shirt itself looks polished with no sign of wear (I've worn it several months so far, and the colors haven't faded and the fabric looks the same as when I purchased it). It can be worn tucked-in with business slacks, or casually untucked with jeans. This shirt is perfect for spring or summer weather because it's a nice cool cotton. The fabric on this shirt is not thick, it's not see-through, and definitely not thin. It's just a nice quality fabric that drapes nicely and doesn't easily wrinkle. It has a very flattering fit. The seams are nicely sewn as well. It looks great, keeps its shape and color after washing, and the fabric is nice and soft. The pattern, colors, and texture have a good quality to them. I'm very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend. I'd like to get several more colors later on!

I liked this shirt principally because of the size of the plaid. Most women's flannel shirts are too large in scale. This one is a tad small, but the look is still very nice, less casual looking, and it's a welcomed change from the large scale plaids that totally dominate the market. Well made, too. I didn't notice much shrinkage but then again I hand-wash in cold water and hang to dry.

I have the navy and green plaid and really do like the color and design. But as others have stated, by no stretch of the imagination could this fabric be considered “flannel”. I don’t even consider it “brushed cotton” as a few have suggested because the texture is so minimal. That said there is a slight difference between the right side of the fabric (what you see when it is worn) and the wrong side of the fabric (what you don’t see). So saying it is “sanded cotton” or brushed cotton is more accurate than not mentioning the texture at all. But this a very subtle texture by what ever name you give it. On the flip side, because it is not flannel, the “light weight” descriptor is misleading too. It is a solid, medium weight cotton, perfect for winter wear in warmer climates (like here in Texas) but probably not what I would pack to visit friends in Wisconsin in February. The shirt seems well made and fit generously. Took away a star though because it seems to ride up across the back and I find myself tugging on the back hem to pull it back down. Not enough of an issue to not wear it though. And could just be me.

I wear this shirt all the time. Size runs true, is comfortable, is soft, is well-made, looks good and comes out of the dryer basically wrinkle-free. For added warmth when needed I just add a tee-shirt underneath as the fabric is on the thin side, like a spring weight, def not winter weight unless of course you winter in the tropics. I love it, would buy again and do recommend. Hope you found this info useful.

This shirt is very pretty. I don't think my monitor represented the colors very well. The "ivory" is definitely less bright than it appeared. But that's not a deal breaker. It's still a very pretty and versatile color palette. As for fit and size- I'm been losing weight and am mostly an XL in basic tshirts (like from Costco or Eddie Bauer or Lucky, Wal-Mart and Kohl's) but I went with the suggestion of XXL and I'm very glad I did. It's not a relaxed oversized fit. But it also doesn't have the darts at the chest which can sometimes make it an awkward fit for me. I won't be wearing this buttoned anyway and I probably could have done fine with an XL but since it was 100% cotton I erred with the AI suggestion. I also got it to make sure I had room and length in the arms. I didn't know if the arms would be tight. (they're not) I think it depends on your intention on how you will wear it. I'm a flannel over a t-shirt gal over leggings or jeans. Or sometimes a button up collared shirt under a sweater. This shirt could do both. It's very light weight (for a flannel) and it's 100% cotton. I have not washed it yet, but when I do it will be washed on cool and then hung dry to prevent shrinking, sometimes I do low heat and hang up while still damp but dried just enough to get wrinkles out. It's cute and I like it and I will probably get another color. It's just hard to want to buy warm flannel stuff in fall and winter palettes at the end of spring going into summer.

Nicely made, fun color. I personally like the thinner fabric – not just shirt weight cotton but not thick flannel. Just right for warm climate winters. I hope it washes well (no color bleed). 🤞
