This shirt is very pretty. I don't think my monitor represented the colors very well. The "ivory" is definitely less bright than it appeared. But that's not a deal breaker. It's still a very pretty and versatile color palette. As for fit and size- I'm been losing weight and am mostly an XL in basic tshirts (like from Costco or Eddie Bauer or Lucky, Wal-Mart and Kohl's) but I went with the suggestion of XXL and I'm very glad I did. It's not a relaxed oversized fit. But it also doesn't have the darts at the chest which can sometimes make it an awkward fit for me. I won't be wearing this buttoned anyway and I probably could have done fine with an XL but since it was 100% cotton I erred with the AI suggestion. I also got it to make sure I had room and length in the arms. I didn't know if the arms would be tight. (they're not) I think it depends on your intention on how you will wear it. I'm a flannel over a t-shirt gal over leggings or jeans. Or sometimes a button up collared shirt under a sweater. This shirt could do both. It's very light weight (for a flannel) and it's 100% cotton. I have not washed it yet, but when I do it will be washed on cool and then hung dry to prevent shrinking, sometimes I do low heat and hang up while still damp but dried just enough to get wrinkles out. It's cute and I like it and I will probably get another color. It's just hard to want to buy warm flannel stuff in fall and winter palettes at the end of spring going into summer. ... show more

I have the navy and green plaid and really do like the color and design. But as others have stated, by no stretch of the imagination could this fabric be considered “flannel”. I don’t even consider it “brushed cotton” as a few have suggested because the texture is so minimal. That said there is a slight difference between the right side of the fabric (what you see when it is worn) and the wrong side of the fabric (what you don’t see). So saying it is “sanded cotton” or brushed cotton is more accurate than not mentioning the texture at all. But this a very subtle texture by what ever name you give it. On the flip side, because it is not flannel, the “light weight” descriptor is misleading too. It is a solid, medium weight cotton, perfect for winter wear in warmer climates (like here in Texas) but probably not what I would pack to visit friends in Wisconsin in February. The shirt seems well made and fit generously. Took away a star though because it seems to ride up across the back and I find myself tugging on the back hem to pull it back down. Not enough of an issue to not wear it though. And could just be me. ... show more

I’m 5’3” and 170 lbs. ordered both medium and large. Love it in the large. Want it to be comfy and in case it shrinks in the wash. This is my fav color of plaid. Checked my go to brands and they were making weird variations of it. So glad I tried this one and great price! So ready for fall, yall!

This shirt is very light weight, not flannel, long sleeve . The sleeves are very long and come over my hands, the shirt is too tight and would not reach far enough to button. I planned to wear it as an over shirt over a t-shirt for club meetings so it might work. The button holes are really small and you have to fight to unbutton them. It would not work for wearing buttoned all day. I would say it is at least a full size too small but has really long sleeve length. It was so inexpensive I'm not sure it is worth the effort to return it.😣 Update: after washing the sleeves had shrunk to usable length. Shirt is still too small for buttoning but can be worn as an over shirt. Would recommend you buy a size larger or two sizes larger if you want it loose. ... show more

I love most Amazon Essentials clothing, and I really love this shirt! While this is NOT a flannel shirt, it's a good quality cotton shirt that has a nice drape to it and is not sheer. I'm 5ft-3in, and my measurements are 36-29-36. At my height, this shirt hits me just at the top of my thighs/mid rear. I purchased a small and it fits me perfectly. It's neither tight or loose. I think I could have even purchased an XS for a more "fitted" look, since I always wear a white tank tops underneath, so I'd still be able to wear it even if I wasn't able button the second button. I purchased the black/white, gradient/plaid and plan on getting other colors later on. Although it's not a "fitted" shirt style, it doesn't look sloppy either. (It doesn't look boxy and shapeless on me.) This shirt is made with good quality fabric that is soft, but doesn't appear to fade or shrink after washing. I wash it in cool or warm water (regular or gentle cycle) and either hang up to dry, or place in the dryer on a low setting. When immediately pulled out from the dryer after it stops, it requires little to no ironing. The shirt itself looks polished with no sign of wear (I've worn it several months so far, and the colors haven't faded and the fabric looks the same as when I purchased it). It can be worn tucked-in with business slacks, or casually untucked with jeans. This shirt is perfect for spring or summer weather because it's a nice cool cotton. The fabric on this shirt is not thick, it's not see-through, and definitely not thin. It's just a nice quality fabric that drapes nicely and doesn't easily wrinkle. It has a very flattering fit. The seams are nicely sewn as well. It looks great, keeps its shape and color after washing, and the fabric is nice and soft. The pattern, colors, and texture have a good quality to them. I'm very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend. I'd like to get several more colors later on! ... show more

Nice shirt, but couldn't figure out the right size. What Amazon recommended was too big. Ordered my usual size and it barely fit (almost too small). Very disappointed.
