I am right under 5’8” and 135 lbs and bought a small. It fits perfectly- I am not flat-chested but if you have huge breast, you might size up. If you happen to be "old school" & enjoy the comfort & feel of 100% cotton, this shirt may just be for you!! These are just so, SO comfortable! Unbelievably comfortable! I have several, various colors, use for both dress up & also casual, hang around the house. Can easily wear even in HOT summer (since it's 100% cool cotton!). So very impressed! In my case, the fit is nearly perfect! I haven't found them to shrink at all though I wash in just barely warm & dry as usual. VERY LITTLE (if any) shrinkage. I hope amazon keeps making them, keeps them in stock & maybe even comes out with more colors! Absolutely one of my best buys ever at good ol' amazon! Price is simply amazing, too!! The black/white checked shirt is really great…to a point. I was very surprised the fabric pattern is actually woven (the same on both sides) not printed on one side which is so often the case these days. But for less than $10? Unheard of. The other interesting thing is they matched all the checks on the side seams and other areas. Overall, the shirt is very well made and well sewn together. Now to the part you may not like. Another reviewer stated the sleeves were too long and tight in the upper arms. In defense, the description does state the arms will be “skinny”. And such is the case with the shirt I ordered (XL). It fits everywhere else but the upper arms are very snug. Not so tight to prevent wearing but definitely won’t be making any sudden moves or reaching overhead. I won’t return because otherwise the shirt is good and the price point was excellent. If the sleeves become an issue I’ll cut them off and turn it into sleeveless. The thickness is a little thin for winter ware, but perfect for summer or winter if you have another shirt to ware underneath. . The fit for me was a little tight, but I gave it to my friend who is also a 2x, it fit her a little snug but still nice. She is tall and has long arms, the length for her was perfect I'm 5'4, I'm short and length of the arms were a little long, but is fine. I think it will look great after it's been worn a few hours. I ordered the blue pin stripped shirt the blue was a soft a blue, it looked beautiful. My only concern is will it wrinkle? On the fit, I have large arms, and it fit! It looks great hanging up, It is a good buy. I think it's going to come out looking nice after being tossed in the dryer. I will update after my friend wears it for Thanksgiving. This is a nice basic shirt for work or school, please note it is cotton material - so it will wrinkle. Even in the package it was slightly wrinkled - so if you want a crisp shirt, you’ll have to use a heavy spray starch. The pink color is true to the photo, and I love a good pink or peach on almost anyone. It is a standard shirt so it’s long enough to tuck in. I bought some light spray starch and it ironed up very well, and was still soft, but did wrinkle a bit through the day. Seems like a decent quality for the price. ... show more

The all cotton thin but sturdy fabric with fabulous patterns is a big selling point for me. But the short, square, baggy fit of this woman's regular fit shirt did not work for me. I've since switched to Amazon's men's slim fit shirts in XS. MY PHYSIQUE: I'm fairly skinny 5'7", 120 lbs, with broad shoulders, a 32 DD chest, and narrow hips. Women's tops often don't fit me well because I need MED in the shoulders, SMALL in the chest and waist, and X-SMALL in the hips. This AE Women's "Regular Fit" was much too baggy, square, and short to suit me. Despite loving this fabric, I'm gonna give this shirt away, because I just don't use it. It won't stay tucked in to give me a trim look, so it ends up hanging over my pants just looking baggy and unflattering. Luckily, I've found a much better fit in the MENS SLIM-FIT version of this Amazon Essentials 100% cotton poplin shirts (XS fits me well) which I can wear untucked and they provide a flattering snug fit over my jeans The lavender multi striped fabric is fabulous. I love the thin but sturdy 100% cotton, that gets better with every wash, and has a great look. I will be wearing this outdoors to protect my arms from the sun in humid Florida, the price is so low when I catch these Amazon poplin shirts on sale, that I prefer to use these for my working around the yard or in the house shirts. ... show more
