I wanted some shoes that would be good to use around the house, walk to the mailbox, etc but not to go out and run errands. These are good, except they run a bit small. I purchased a 8W, though they do fit, I find my toes are at the end of the toe box. I am going to purchase another pair in the next size up. For the price point they are perfect for my use. I'm older (56), and I like to dress for "whatever the day may bring," which means I like to look nice--I'm not comfortable wearing tennis shoes out and about in public. These flats look nice dressed up or dressed down, and they are comfortable! These are more comfortable than the $150 flats I bought last year. I wish I had known about these last year! I bought the 10.5 wide and they are not quite as wide as I would have liked, but they did stretch to fit the widest part of my foot after several wearings. Of course they do not offer support, but they are very comfortable. I especially like these for driving. I don't like to wear shoes with very thick soles or with heels for driving, and these flats allow me to feel the pedals better and to maneuver better than with other types of shoes. ... show more

This is my 2nd pair of these. First pair traveled all over Europe and North Africa like a gem. They became a wardrobe staple for me after that and I pretty much just wore out the insole. So with another European holiday on the horizon, I ordered another pair. The reason I love them for traveling is that they are so light weight. It is easy to wear all day and they fit snug so no rubbing or blisters. They are much cuter than sneakers but obviously less support. They don't slip or make loud clacking sounds when walking on marble/tile floors. They are just a great travel shoe and for this price... you cannot go wrong! ... show more

These are my first ballerina flats. I sized up, ordering a size 11 instead of a 10, following the recommendations of previous reviewers. They fit perfectly because they slide on easily, and they do not gap when I walk in them. They have good traction and provide arch support for my flat feet. I can walk in them for hours.     • Finally, Basic Shoes for Folks with Big, Wide Feet!

How many reasonably priced, vaguely feminine shoes are out there for us folks who wear a 15W in a "woman's" shoe? Not a lot, I can tell you. Plenty of trainers, plenty of unisex and "male" shoes, but a simple ballet flat? a moderate pump? A nice wedge or sandal? Not so much. So thank you Amazon for these. They are basic, simple ballet flats. Not flashy, but simple, classic, feminine shoes. In a size I can wear with a reasonable amount of comfort. OK the soles are a little narrow for my extra wide feet, but you get used to it. . They come in enough different colors so you can probably find some to match your outfit. And they are reasonably priced for frugal me. My guess is all of you who have daintier feet than my big old clodhoppers will probably find them pretty comfortable and useful as well. After reading the reviews, I bought a half size larger but had to return them as they hurt my big toe. I purchased a full size up and they fit well (beige). They are comfortable considering they are flats with no support. These shoes are like bedroom slippers—very comfortable. You even forget you have them on—if you are inside walking on carpet. I would not suggest wearing them out shopping or on concrete or gravel. I bought these very last minute for a funeral and am amazed at how comfortable they are! Didn’t need any breaking in and are actually quite cushioned for flats. (I’m a sneaker kind of girl and rarely wear dress shoes, also have foot and hip issues). Serves their purpose quite well and I even wore them again today walking all over a downtown area.
