I couldn't be happier with this locket. The Made in the USA quality is evident in the engraving on the front, the quality of the hinge and hidden locking mechanism. You don't have to worry about this popping open. I did find it a little difficult to open and close the first couple of times but now that it's "broken in," it works perfectly. The rhodium plating gives is a beautiful luster and should help prevent tarnishing for a long time. The locket is lighter than expected but that doesn't detract from the quality of the piece. The chain that accompanied it was a very pleasant surprise and is now my favorite silver chain. It will get a lot of use with my other pendants. Without the bezel, this measures a nice 1.5"L x 1"W. It's the perfect size for a photo of my husband and my dog...not sure what order yet. :) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Just opened up the package! It came with the locket already open so I attempted to close it. To absolutely no avail. I’ve used every ounce of hulk strength and expert maneuvering but it literally won’t close. Pretty disappointing considering the price. Beautiful piece but lacks functionality. I was surprised by the large size, which was perfect. The partially recessed hinge works well. It opens easily, yet locks tightly. No scratches, lovely finish. We will have it engraved. Looking forward to giving it to Grandma for a big birthday. Will get an extender with an easier clasp for her though. Great value for the money and a gift we will be proud to give.
