These Amazon Essentials jeans are well made, fit well, and have a bit of stretch to them. The black ones more so than the denim rinse ones. They both fit fine. The weight is somewhat lighter than J Crew straight fit jeans, so it depends on what you are looking for, but to add some quick variety to the jeans wardrobe after losing some pounds, these cost less than the $138 at J Crew. I expect that they won't last as long, but that doesn't matter so much with me, as I have a whole lot of clothes to try to rotate through.

These were a bit longer than my actual size, but I like cuffing my jeans, so make of that what you will. Dark blue jeans are a great staple in any wardrobe. These are the right ratio of slim-fitting to straight cut for me, and everyone's legs will be a bit different, but the flexibility in the jeans makes them very comfortable and keeps me mobile. Which is good since I am pretty physically active. That being said since they're dark blue, the wear/tear marks are starting to faintly appear after many a wash and day outside. But nothing so drastic that you'd think the pants degrade quickly or are low-quality, just a consequence of doing physical activities in them on the regular.

I probably will not buy these again. I expected them to be more 'jeans-like' instead they are not as thick or shaped as well as jeans. I still like them and they are good for occasions that require something more dressy than jeans.

These are a nice material with a really good fit. Only drawback is the chemical smell. It’s quite intense. I’ve washed three times so far and is still pungent. Smells like kerosene mixed with mothballs. I’m hoping after a few more washings that they’ll be tolerable.

I initially bought these because I was sick of the inconsistency that Levi’s had with their 501’s. I wanted a simple straight leg jean in a dark wash and these fit the bill perfectly for a fraction of the price. I haven’t noticed any issues with stitching. Denim feels just a hair thinner than 501’s, which is fine because those things feel like cardboard. Just as sturdy though. The stretch is very subtle. They’ll move with you, but don’t expect them to feel like an elastic stretch chino. They hug the thighs and butt just right with a clean straight taper down the leg. Plus they come in inseam lengths most big brands don’t carry. For this price, give ‘em a try.

The pants fit great, only dislike is that the zipper isn't really that convenient. Needs to be about an inch or inch and a half longer. Like I haven't heard that before.
