I wear a 36x29 in several brands of jeans (Wrangler, Levi’s, Lee, etc.) but I heard Amazon Essential jeans run small so I ordered a 38x29. The pair I received fits like a 35x32 although the tag states 38x29. Amazon needs to get their quality control under control. Very disappointing.

Amazon really needs to get its act together with the descriptions of these jeans. I'm getting on in age, and I prefer a little more room in my jeans. The "athletic-fit" jeans say "Extra room in the hip and thigh", so that's what I got. They were a proper fit in the waist and length, but a tad snugger
than I'd prefer in the thighs. I ordered a pair of these Straight-fit jeans and these have the added room that I want. Hardly "baggy", but comfortable. Both cuts of the Amazon jeans that I purchased were a little on the large size in the waist. Once I knew this, I simply ordered one sized down and they're perfect. I think that for the price, they're a good deal. They only have five belt loops rather than seven, and somewhere I heard that this was a sign of "cheap" pants. But I don't see what I'm losing. If nothing else, I can get my belt on faster. They're fairly soft and look good. I find myself buying more and more of the Amazon Essentials clothing and liking it better than the brand name stuff.

These jeans fit great but have a horrible, overpowering smell to them. The only way I can describe it is sour moth balls. I have washed them four times and the smell is no better.

Nice fitting Jens. The only complaints is that the fly needs to be longer like 1/2 inch to 1 inch longer.

These are good quality jeans and fit well. They wash up nicely with very little fading. The price is reasonable compared to other similar jeans. Highly recommend!

In my case, I go up and down on waist size. The other colors are true to size , for me 38-29, however the Black for some reason, only fit is 40-29. But still, it's a durable jean, I have many, use them 99% of the time, even to go out to a restaurant. Try them , pay less, for a great jean.
