The color is a bit darker than my preference, but the high quality of construction and design override any preferences in that regard. My son wanted basic jeans and these were exactly like name brand jeans, same make and material, without the extras that you pay the extras for. Couldn't beat the price. Good Jeans, But the Zipper's a Bit Short
These Amazon Essentials Men's Stretch Jeans are solid for everyday wear. They fit well, are comfortable, and the stretch fabric makes them easy to move around in. The material feels decent, especially considering the price, and they’ve held up well after a few washes. However, the zipper is shorter than what I’m used to, which might take some getting used to. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of. Overall, they’re a good value if you need a simple, reliable pair of jeans.

Issues!!
These fit fine, however..... the zipper is very short and the front pockets are hard to access. I keep a car key fob in the left and a front pocket wallet in the right. I also keep a small pocket knife in the fifth pocket. Most times when accessing the front pocket wallet (not large), my hand will catch on the small knife in the fifth pocket and knock it to the floor.

Essential Jeans, cheap but surprisingly good!
For the past couple of years I have been wearing $80 high stretch jeans for casual wear and with a blazer for dressier occassions. I have bought them from the manufacturer but had to pay an annual membership fee or pay a higher price and shipping. It just so happens that Amazon now carrys them but with out making me pay membership or shipping. I wanted a couple of cheap jeans to wear around the house and for yardwork so I bought two pairs of Amazon Essential high stretch jeans in a discountinued color for about $22 a pair thinking they might be okay. Wrong, these jeans had the fit and stretch of the $80 jeans, and the color is what I would normally buy and they are so close in color that I could almost confuse them for the $80 pair. I love these "cheap" jeans and don't have to worry about beating them up so if I can get a couple of years of wear out of the I will buy them again.

Perfect fit
I am not a large man. I'm a whopping 5'4" tall, and on the thin side. As you can imagine, pants in my size are very hard to find. There is actually a company which specializes in shorter men. Their pants cost $60 or more per pare. I would be alright with that but there's a problem. Even this company doesn't have anything in my size! What the hell? And then I look on Amazon and find these jeans. They come in my size. No alterations needed. And not only do they come in my size, they come in even smaller sizes. How freaking cool is that? And then, to top it off, they cost less than half of what that special "short men" company charges. I am beyond thrilled.
