I am a size 11, so I ordered an 11 1/2. They are a little narrow and length is good, so I have to say they run about a 1/2 size smaller than their charted size. I'm just beginning to work them into my comfort zone, it may take a few days. But I think they will make a good 'everyday' shoe. These are nice boots that are warm and comfortable to walk in. The stitching is well done (with smooth lines), and you can feel the granular textures on the otherwise smooth and crisp faux leather material. The rubber material on the heel and sole are one piece and it feels quite thick and durable. The pattern on the sole is fairly shallow, but it still provides decent traction when walking. Wearing the boot is quite comfortable thanks to the padding on the insole as well as the soft felt-like material around the heel and ankles. Comfort also extends to how these boots can help keep your feet warmer than sneakers. The trade-off is that it is not as well ventilated as sneakers. The height of the sides is fairly nice (about 5.626” high from the bottom of the heel and 4.5” high from the bottom of the foot portion) as it provides adequate coverage for the ankles without being overly tall so that your pant leg won’t get caught at the top. The shoe laces seem a bit shorter than expected, but it is still enough to tie a double-knot (if needed). The overall appearance looks quite nice when paired with jeans.
