  • Amazing performance and ultra fast internet speed - No more internet issues
Configuration: 1-pack Style: without eero Plus
I recently received the eero MAX 7 as a gift for my birthday, and it has been a game-changer. Earlier this year, I had purchased the eero pro 6e (2 units), which I was already quite happy with. However, I noticed that my mother needed one, so I gave her my eero pro 6e and got the eero MAX 7 for my apartment. Ever since I started using it, I have been blown away by its incredible performance. The download speed has increased from 981 MB to 1.3 Gig, and I no longer have to worry about my work video calls dropping like they did before. I used to think that the network service in my area was the problem, but it turned out that the many routers in the building and the interference from all the devices using the 2.4 GHz band were causing the issue. Now, I can work from home with great internet bandwidth without any interruption, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Although the eero MAX 7 is expensive, it's worth every penny in my opinion. You’ll see on the pics posted my download speed increased from 983 MB with eero pro 6e to 1.31 G with Euro MAX 7!!! Update: Dec 5, 2023 I recently purchased the new eero Max 7 mesh router, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. Not only am I experiencing faster speeds compared to my previous router, but the coverage it provides is simply outstanding. In fact, I was so impressed that I decided to get a second unit last week to ensure exceptional coverage throughout my entire living space. One of the standout features of the eero Max 7 is its ability to consistently deliver a reliable internet connection. Even in a building where numerous routers and devices cause interference, I haven't experienced any lags or connectivity issues. This is a game-changer for me, as I heavily rely on a stable internet connection for both work and leisure activities. Setting up the second eero Max 7 was a breeze, thanks to its intuitive and user-friendly interface and application. The mesh network seamlessly blankets my home, eliminating any dead spots and ensuring a consistent signal strength across all corners. I can now enjoy fast and uninterrupted internet access no matter where I am in the house. The eero Max 7 has truly transformed my internet experience. It's a high-performing mesh router that delivers on its promises of faster speeds and excellent coverage. If you're looking for a reliable and hassle-free solution to your connectivity needs, I highly recommend giving the eero Max 7 a try. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Great but expensive
Configuration: 3-pack Style: without eero Plus
The eero Max 7 three-pack delivers excellent Wi-Fi performance with an intuitive interface and remarkably easy setup—significantly improving stability and reducing connectivity issues compared to the six Google Nest access points it replaced. In my setup, I decided to run these in bridge mode, delegating network administration and advanced traffic control to a Peplink BR1 Pro 5G router, which provides more granular data management. Speeds and consistency have noticeably improved, with fewer drops and hangs during critical tasks like video conferencing. However, while coverage and range are good—slightly superior to my previous Nest system—I didn’t experience the heroic coverage I anticipated given the premium price. In hindsight, the Max 7 feels like expensive overkill for my 1 Gbps connection, and I’d likely choose a four-pack of eero Pro 7 units next time for less total cost and better overall home coverage in my scenario. Still, for ease of use, stability, and strong performance, it’s undeniably a top-tier option. 4.5 stars ... show more

  • This Eero 7 Max is a heavy hitter and well worth the price.
Configuration: 1-pack Style: without eero Plus
This 7 Max is vastly more capable than the Eero Pro it replaced! This new unit functions as my gateway router in my mesh network. it’s superior range and processing power has significantly improved my entire network. The set up was about as easy as it could be. I only had to select the replace function which simply swapped out my old router for the new one on the Eero app. I did have to get with technical support from my Internet provider so that they could switch the IP address over to the new seven max. After conducting speed test on various devices in different places throughout the house, the download speeds improved between three and four times to what they were before. My iPhone and iPad were actually registering more speed than my provider was claiming to give. I could even get a reliable signal down at our barn and was able to listen to music while I was working out there. ... show more

  • Good overall, but issues with video chats for work
Configuration: 2-pack Style: without eero Plus
Overall, I really wanted to like my Eeros. I got them on a great deal last black friday, and they really are easy to set up. The app is good, and it was pretty simple to replace my netgear router by plugging the eero into my verizon modem. In general, they worked well for most devices. Things like downloads, speed tests, etc are fast. I set up a wired ethernet backbone for each of the three endpoints in my home. I have a 2 story house, so 1 access point is in my office, 1 access point is in the basement directly above my wife's office, and the 3rd access point is on the other side of the basement in the crawl space. Unfortunately, I have experienced persistent issues with video chats on both teams and zoom. At first, we had some wifi issues on the far side of the house, which I was surprised by, since it was only ~15-20 feet from an access point in the crawl space below the room. Additionally, my wife is constantly complaining to me that she can't take video calls anymore, even in her office, where I see 5 bars of wifi strength. Even with my desktop plugged into ethernet upstairs, I seem to have some networking issues with lag and de-sync in online games. Overall, I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Our house is a SFH and at least 50-100 feet from our neighbors, so it doesn't appear to be caused by wifi interference. The eero app tells me I have 30 devices online, so it's not me pushing it to the limits as far as I know. I would say overall, if you are a casual user, and just want a good app with the ability to quickly block devices etc., then Eero is for you. But if you have high expectations for performance or have a job with a lot of video chats and screen sharing, I personally have been disappointed by my Eero units, especially given the price. Unfortunately, for my use case, bad video calls just won't work. ... show more
