The Champion Power Equipment 201183 2500-Watt Portable Dual Fuel Inverter Generator with CO Shield® is ideal for camping or tailgating. Weighing in at an ultralight 39 pounds, this model is one of the lightest 2500-watt inverters in the industry. Thanks to Champion’s innovative design, power on the go has never been easier. Champion’s EZ Start Dial makes getting started quick and easy. Power up with the reliable recoil start, plus Cold Start Technology ensures a quick start in cold weather. Included are a covered 120V 20A household duplex outlet (5-20R) plus a 12V regulated automotive-style outlet, and a handy dual port USB adapter you can use to power your phone, laptop, or similar device. This inverter operates at 53 dBA from 23 feet – about the same noise level as a dishwasher. Just add oil (included 10W-30), and operate your Dual-Fuel generator right out of the box on gasoline or propane, and easily switch fuels with the EZ Start dial. When the 1.1-gallon tank of gasoline is full, the 79cc Champion engine produces 2500 starting watts and 1850 running watts and will run for up to 11.5 hours at 25% load. When using a 20-pound propane tank, it produces 2500 starting watts and 1665 running watts and will run for up to 34 hours at 25% load. Connect this Parallel Ready inverter with another Champion 2500-watt inverter for 30 amps of power. The optional parallel kit (sold separately) allows you to integrate two inverters, plus the kit has a standard 30A RV outlet and a 120V 30A locking outlet. First generator but can't complain about anything. Have run it on both gasoline and propane and works great. Extremely quite at tailgates. Also very fuel efficient, ran it all day and still had plenty of gasoline left.

Hard to start. So far have only run it for break in period. Purchased for emergency backup in case of a power outage so hoping to not need it very often.

Have only used a handful of times and none when I was in a situation I was dependent on it. But it seems to work well - charged batteries quickly and can run 1 a/c (with soft start) on propane. Since my truck is diesel, like I don’t have to carry gasoline

    • Sometime simpler is better
I have this same generator without the CO monitor and have been happy with it. I bought this one for my son and nothing but trouble. He wanted to use it mainly on propane and not worry about gas going bad over time. After doing all the prep, adding oil and regulator and such, he tried to crank. After some tries it cranked but only ran a few seconds. This was repeated multiple times. It was then noticed that the CO monitor was lighting up each time. He called the support line (which I thankfully have not had to deal with....yet) and all he was told was to move it somewhere else and try. DA. Like he hadn't done that already. He did let it sit a day and then tried again. Same result. This time when calling support he was told he had to take it to a service center and was given the address of the nearest one. When driving there he was told they did not have a technician at that site (so why did you send him there?) and was given the address for one that did. After another 30 min drive to this site, they did have a technician but they had no appointments for 2 months. As he needed it for the approaching winter, this was not acceptable. The support line for the product was pretty worthless. Thankfully, Amazon stepped up again. I contacted them directly and they have refunded the entire amount. This is the main reason I bought through Amazon rather then a third party. Unfortunately, the generator without the CO monitor is only sold now through a third party and is a much higher price.
