Like most of you, I read the reviews and tried to figure out which were legitimate and which were fake. So I went with my gut and purchased the scapular. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. It comes in a nice sturdy black box, unmarked, perfect for gift giving. The scapular itself is displayed on the inner box and hangs from a chain display holder. I was impressed with the quality of the stainless steel and the etching on the scapular steel plates. The clarity is great, and you’ll be able to read the wording of the scapular with ease. What separates this from other steel scapulars on Amazon is that it’s etched into the stainless plates versus a steel plate that is glued to the scapular. This is made to last. I am a tall guy (6’4”) with an athletic build; and it sits comfortably between my pecs. The chain is very dainty, though the scapulars has a nice weight to them. I may in the future replace the chain for something a little thicker, but for now, it’s perfect. Actually, you’ll hardly know you’re wearing anything. I’m really pleased that I went with my gut instincts. You’ll not be disappointed — it is well worth the price. Now time to take it to my Pastor to have it blessed. I hope this review was helpful. Peace and love :) Update: I have had this scapular now for a month. I am rather athletic and live a active lifestyle. And I can honestly say it has held up perfectly. One side of the scapular has the Sacred Heart, the other is Mt. Carmel. Images are etched in, not raised. The silver variety stands out very well. I've seen nicer on Catholic catalog sites but this is a very nice item especially cosidering price.

This is the perfect gift for any devout Catholic man. I have bought one for myself and for several of my friends. They do not get smelly like the leather ones when you sweat on them. And they are stainless so they are very easy to clean. I would recommend this 100%.
