Contrary to what a previous reviewer said, this ring is not gold plated, it's 10 karat solid gold, which is a low gold content alloy but still of fine jewelry quality. It has higher gold content than gold Vermeil and much more than gold plating. The jeweler stamp on the inside even designates the point of origin as Vietnam which I think is very responsible on Amazon's part. This ring is dainty, feminine, and makes a great daily stand in for my much more pricey wedding band. If you're looking to give a gift that will retain value over time but won't break the bank, this would be perfect for a graduate or a little girl celebrating a life mile stone. I bought other petite rings from jcp and Macy's both lost stones after 30days. But this bow ring has held up for over 4 months. I paid less buy at least 40+ from both retailers and have had a better outcome. I may buy another for the other hand.
