I'm bending over backwards to get my non-chewer Mini Poodle to chew in order to promote his dental health. It was the guidance provided by Wag for choosing the right type of antler that spiked my curiosity about this product. As suggested, I went for the size small split elk antler, the gentlest way to introduce pup to chewing. The first antler we received was a straight light colored one and my dog appeared to catch on to it immediately. It kept him busy for several sessions and I was thrilled to see that he chewed out most of the white marrow (pictured in upper left corner). Stoked, I bought seven more antlers with the stock up and save promotion. The new antlers revealed the beautiful natural variability of this product (and also made me want to seek out an elk antler collection job). The second piece I offered my dog was a darker one with a bump in the middle (bottom left in photo), and he showed much less interest in it. Next, I tried to entice him with another lighter straight antler but he seemed to have given up. I really would have liked this product to work out for us as it seemed a super healthy snack for my dog but he's lost interest. I am bummed and sad. ... show more

Dogs instinctively want to chew this. It’s a natural flavor that they will chew on. And these are hard enough to clean their teeth, without splintering into pieces that will hurt them (like chicken bones). You can pay more for the same thing elsewhere. It’s your money

Love this for our Bichon/Shih Tzu mix. Keeps him occupied. It hurts if they are playing with it and fling it though. Lol. Also, it’s like a lego if you accidentally step on it. Love that it doesnt splinter off. Can’t rate the flavor, haha, never tried it obviously!
