These Mama Bear diaper pail refills are fantastic! They work perfectly with our Diaper Genie and provide excellent odor control at a fraction of the cost of name-brand refills. The unscented option is ideal since we don't want artificial fragrances around baby. The 1080 count with 4 packs lasts us months, making this an incredible value. Each refill holds just as many diapers as the expensive alternatives while maintaining the same level of smell containment. The plastic quality is sturdy - no tearing or weak spots that cause frustrating jams. Installation is exactly the same as original refills - fits perfectly and feeds through the system smoothly. The cutting mechanism works flawlessly every time. No difference in performance whatsoever, just significant savings on our monthly diaper budget. What impressed me most is how well these contain odors, even with particularly smelly diapers. The multi-layer barrier really works to lock in unpleasant smells until trash day. Our nursery stays fresh and comfortable. Amazon's Mama Bear brand delivers quality that matches premium options at a much better price point. Smart parents will make the switch and save serious money without sacrificing performance. Highly recommend for any Diaper Genie owner looking to cut costs!

tl;dr short version: these refills can work perfectly for the Original LitterLocker, but only if you take an old LitterLocker refill and remove the guts to allow this Mama Bear Diaper Pail refill to fit INSIDE the outer shell of a used up LitterLocker refill. See annotated pictures for instructions. Long version: We've used the original LitterLocker since 2010 (not LitterLocker II -- that came later and is terrible), and in my opinion, it is godsend for cat owners everywhere. Unlike the LitterLocker II, it actually does seal away odors, and makes the job of dealing with indoor cats litter cleaning immensely easier. So when I found that we could no longer get refills for the original LitterLocker--that they were flat out discontinued--I was very sad and upset. Way more than probably fitted the occasion, I suspect! I watched with deepening despair as we used up the last of our refills, and nothing I was finding online in terms of replacement systems for dealing with used cat litter was making me feel any better. Then it dawned on me to start looking into the systems used by parents to deal with diapers, and that's when I stumbled on these refills, and found one reviewer who said that they worked for the original LitterLocker! I was cautiously happy and hopeful! And I ordered a 4 pack. When they arrived however, we found that they were just slightly too small and would get pulled through into the bottom section and not stay secure under the lid. I thought of wrapping some tape around the lip to make it larger in diameter, but then I thought to see if it would fit INSIDE an old litter locker, and lo and behold, it was a PERFECT fit! However, then it was too high for the lid assembly to snap onto the body of the LitterLocker. So I carefully removed some height from the old litter locker refill host, and tried again, and voila! It was perfect! So, I uploaded some pictures so you can see the process. (Apparently you can't count on your pictures getting posted in the order in which you upload them, so I added some text and arrows for clarity.) I decided to keep as much of the old litter locker refill casing as possible, but all you really need is just the outermost, topmost ring of the old litter locker refill. If you want to follow my method, take an old, completely used up, litter locker refill and remove the top horizontal ring, then make a cut about half-way down the vertical inner cylinder, all the way around. Then remove almost all of the outer cylinder that shows above the lip. If you look at the pictures you can see a side view and top view of what this should look like. The side view shows the job almost--but not quite--completed. Be careful with your cutting down of the outermost, topmost part of the cylinder above the lip. Go too far and you will cut down through the lip and compromise the integrity of the shell! Do a little bit at a time, and leave a little bit showing. You don't need to remove it entirely. It just can't be left at full height. Once you are finished, the Mama Bear refill will drop right into the LitterLocker refill host adapter, and then of course will fit perfectly in the body of the LitterLocker. And, if you remove almost all of the outer cylinder which rises above the lip of your host adapter, the lid assembly will snap on easily. (See pictures) These refills are less than half the capacity of the original LitterLocker Refills, but they are also half the price, so it's pretty much a wash. More importantly, though, once you make an adaptor for them from an old LitterLocker Refill, they work PERFECTLY! (Just remember not to throw away the adapter you made when putting in a new refill! LOL! Although, you'd remember pretty quickly when the Mama Bear refill gets pulled down inside, I suppose). I know it's stupid, but I'm so happy that we can still continue to use our two original LitterLockers! Hope this was helpful!

Mama Bear Diaper Pail Refills Review As a busy parent, finding a reliable and cost-effective solution for diaper disposal is essential. The Mama Bear Diaper Pail Refills for Diaper Genie pails have proven to be a valuable addition to our household. Here’s my take on these refills based on their performance and value. Pros: 1. Effective Odor Control: The Mama Bear refills have multi-layer film technology that effectively traps odors. Even when the pail is nearly full, there's minimal smell leakage, which is crucial for maintaining a fresh-smelling home. 2. Compatibility: These refills fit perfectly with Diaper Genie pails, ensuring a snug fit and easy installation. It’s great not having to worry about finding the right size. 3. Cost-Effective: Compared to branded alternatives, the Mama Bear refills offer excellent value for money. You get a high quantity for a lower price without compromising quality. 4. Durability: The bags are sturdy and can handle a considerable number of diapers without tearing. This durability means fewer changes and more convenience. Cons: 1. Unscented Option: While effective, these refills are unscented. Some parents might prefer a lightly scented option to add an extra layer of freshness. 2. Bulk Packaging:Although getting more refills in a pack is economical, the bulk packaging might be excessive for smaller households or those with limited storage space. Overall Experience: The Mama Bear Diaper Pail Refills have made diaper disposal a hassle-free task. Their odor control and compatibility with Diaper Genie pails make them a reliable choice. The cost savings are a significant advantage, especially for families on a budget. Despite the unscented nature, the refills perform exceptionally well in keeping the nursery odor-free. In conclusion, if you're looking for an affordable and efficient diaper pail refill, the Mama Bear refills are a strong contender. They offer excellent performance and value, making diaper duty a little less daunting.

I’ve been using these Mama Bear diaper pail refills for a few months now, and I’m honestly impressed. They work just as well as the name-brand version and save me money in the long run — a win-win for any parent. Here’s what I love: No More Diaper Smell: They seal in odors really well, even after several dirty diapers in the pail. The room smells clean, which is saying something! Lasts a Long Time: Each roll holds quite a few diapers (especially newborn ones), so I’m not constantly refilling the pail. Easy to Use: They fit perfectly into my Diaper Genie and load just like the original refills — no issues there. Budget-Friendly: Compared to other brands, this pack gives you a lot more for the price. It’s great for families who go through diapers quickly. Just a heads up: These are unscented. That’s not a problem for me, but if you prefer a scented liner, you might want to add a deodorizer inside your pail. Final Thoughts: These refills are a solid choice if you want something affordable, reliable, and compatible with your Diaper Genie. I’ll definitely be buying them again.

I had almost given up on finding a refill for my Litter Locker II, until I found these. Plus, they were cheaper than the name brand ones I bought 10 years ago. Last year, I rediscovered our old a LitterLocker II, along with 5 refills. When the supply of refills started to dwindle, I couldn’t find any refills that didn’t require taking out a small loan. Until I was led to Mama Bear and thought, “the most I’ll lose is $15, so let’s give it a shot”. When they arrived, I was so excited to see they fit perfectly! The bags are sturdy, too. A bonus is the cost, being about a third the cost of the refills bought in 2013. The only reason I gave these 4 stars, instead of 5, was the second refill I used seemed to have some defects. First, after opening it, the open end of the plastic bag was buried deep inside and I couldn’t pull it out (ended up wasting a bit of the bag to finally get it to work correctly). Second, at the end of the roll, right when the black line became visible, I tied the bottom, as usual, but after dumping in the first scoop of litter, the bag became dislodged from the refill container, causing litter, poop and pee to fall out of the bag, into the bottle of the LitterLocker. I’m hoping the defective refill was an anomaly, because I didn’t have any issues with the first refill and so far, the third refill works great. Unless something crazy happens, I highly recommend this product for the LitterLocker II.

I have the Playtex Diaper Genie Elite for our diaper pail system in the nursery. Introduction: I normally use Playtex diaper genie refill bags or the Up&Up refills but the Mama Bear Refill bags were a great price so I thought I’d try them. They are just as good, if not better (because of the price) than the brand name Playtex bag refills. Fit and Setup: The Mama Bear refills work exactly like the Playtex ones. You remove the plastic ring on the top of the product and then find the end of the bag and pull it upward and then through the ring and tie the bottom of bag (see photos of unopened ring and side by side top of Mama Bear/Playtex). I literally found no difference in setting up the Mama Bear ring and the Playtex. I also found that the ring fit exactly the same as the Playtex (see photo of Mama Bear ring inside the Diaper Genie). *Both Mama Bear and Playtex were equally matched on fit and setup. Quality: Both Mama Bear and Playtex have 7 layers of protection and fit up to 270 diapers in each refill ring. The feel and sturdiness of both Mama Bear and Playtex are the same. The tough/feel/sight/smell of the two products are to my eyes and fingers EXACTLY the same (see photo of opened products in my fingers). I haven’t seen any difference the Mama Bear and Playtex in being able to hold a full allot of diapers (no rips or strain). *Both Mama Bear and Playtex are the same quality. Packaging: Both Mama Bear and Playtex look exactly the same - same color, same markings, same shape, size, seemingly the same weight. If you were to remove the side label on the Mama Bear and Playtex refills I would not have the ability to know which was which (see the photo comparisons). *Both Mama Bear and Playtex have the same package and product (only difference is the label on the outside). Note: I did not compare the Up&Up (Target) version of diaper pail refills, but those are seemingly subpar to both Mama Bear and Playtex. The Up&Up are flimsier, and the ring on the outside isn’t as sturdy. I would not recommend them given the fact that Mama Bear is a superior product and the same price. Photos: Diaper genie pail and mama bear refill bags, unopened Mama Bear fill, opened and tied comparison of Mama Bear (left) and Playtex (right), bag quality comparison of Mama Bear (left) and Playtex (right), bottom of both Mama Bear (left) and Playtex (right), side view of refills Mama Bear (left) and Playtex (right), and finally Mama Bear refills inside Diaper Genie. Overall: I found Mama Bear and Playtex diaper pail refills to be almost exactly the same so if the Mama Bear brand is less expensive I will absolutely continue to buy them. I love that Amazon has gotten in on the “Generic” or rather “Store Brand” alternatives allowing for a more affordable product with the same quality. ***please let me know if my review was helpful by clickling the “helpful” button below***

I bought this mama bear diaper pail refills for Diaper Genie. They fit Diaper Genie perfectly and I haven't observed any odor as well. The multi-layer film is strong enough and doesn’t stretch or succumb to the weight during busy diaper changes. I also appreciate that they’re unscented since I prefer avoiding heavy fragrances in the nursery. This 4-pack bundle will lasts quite a while, saving me both time and money compared to Theo there name-brand refills. Their perform is at-par, if not better. To conclude, these refills make diaper duty less daunting and keeping the nursery odor free.
