The plastic is a reasonable thickness for everyday use and does not feel flimsy or prone to tearing when you fill them with leftovers, cut vegetables, or snacks. They are not industrial grade freezer bags, but they are more than adequate for normal food storage and organizing. The slider works smoothly and seals consistently across the top. I am one who goes for easy clean up and storage after meals and use a lot of plastic bags to accommodate that preference. I get a great deal on these gallon bags with my Subscribe and Save orders. This is a great size to put up meats, casseroles and larger left overs. I also use these to put over meals I have plated for warm up later. They can easily be stacked in the frig for a quick warm up meal. These bags are made to stand up while filling so they are particularly useful for sauces, pasta or soups. I do suggest you put the bag in the sink to fill up as some ingredients will topple over while you pour. The slider zip lock makes it easy to seal up and pack away. I also use these for meats/steaks when I separate a family pack. Putting steaks into single bags then inserting into a gallon bag helps protect the meat from freezer burn and allows me to take out individual steaks as desired. Good product, good value.

These bags are pretty decent. I have noticed an issue with repeated openings d closing of the zipper part of the bag. With repeated use of the zipper unless you punch the slider with your fingers with a little pressure, after repeated use, the sealing part of the bag will become unsealed. For the price and quantity you can always just toss them after a bit.

Excellent Quality and Much Easier on Arthritic Fingers I have been very pleased with both the quality and functionality of these food storage bags. The plastic thickness is well balanced—not too thin and not excessively thick. They protect food exactly as designed. What I especially like is the slider closure compared to the slightly less expensive pinch-seal style bags. My arthritic fingers do not have the dexterity they once did, and the slider mechanism is much easier to use consistently and securely. In my opinion, the slight increase in cost is absolutely worth it for the added convenience and ease of use. As usual, Amazon Prime delivery was extremely fast, which is always appreciated. Good quality, easy to use, and an essential item for any kitchen.
