This stuff is cheap and very thin!!! But I keep buying it and using it. Works as it should. But I always have to double or triple tape a box to feel comfortable with this brand and quality.

I very rarely give 1 star reviews but this tape warrants that. I have been shipping several packages a week over the last 2 years and have tried many different brands of tapes. The Amazon Basics tape is by far the worst. It tears very easily, too easily. It is also very thin and not durable at all. The width of the roll is good and it fits in my universal tape dispenser just fine. It is so flimsy though that it actually becomes messy when trying to use it with or without a dispenser. The adhesive is poor on both boxes and poly mailer bags. I have to used double to amount of this tape as I would any other tape to ensure my packages are sealed well enough for shipping. It's also impossible to get the roll 'going' again if you lose the end of it and let the 'start' of the roll fall back onto itself. In fact, about the only thing this tape sticks too well is itself. I have actually tossed 2 rolls in the trash because they just ended up shredded when trying to get them started again. save your money and buy some from a dollar store before purchasing this. ... show more

Good price, but as the name implies, BASIC packaging tape. Thinner than most packaging tape, but does the job. If you're looking for more of a heavy duty tape, this one is very thin... otherwise for general packing for mailing, it will work...

This is really great value for the price. I think this is probably the cheapest tape you can find on Amazon, and we go through tape so much in the warehouse that we are reliant on this product. Highly recommended for large volume projects.
