When you ship a few packages a week, you are concerned about the thickness of tape, the color of the plastic, the careful weighing of ounces... We ship between 60-100 packages a day. 10k a month, in shipping postage, USPS alone. We need shipping supplies, in bulk, that are "thick enough" to hold a package closed through a rough and tumble shipping system, come in enough bulk and enough cost savings to keep our business in the black, and can be delivered quickly and responsibly by a supplier we can trust. So we recently switched from using a list of "rotating" suppliers that we kept track of sales and coupons with, to using Amazon Basics. Their tape is almost always (90% of the time) the least expensive per yard, still quality enough for our needs without being "sticky cellophane", and delivers next day if that's how quickly we need it (an order surge can wipe us out of 12 full rolls in a single day!). Absolutely thrilled Amazon Basics now has shipping tape --- praying they get shipping cartons and tubes at a reasonable bulk rate soon as well.

We used this tape for hanging up flyers on metal poles. It has great adhesion considering how dirty the poles are. I would have given it 5 stars but the tape is not quite as thick as I prefer it. I am not sure if that is a purchaser error (I don't know too much about tape) but it gets the job done. I think in the future I will try 2 mm thickness. I also ship a few packages a month and it works great. No issues with that. The price point is great considering how many rolls you get. I have not even gone through one yet and I have hung up over 50 flyers and shipped two packages.

I won’t be ordering this tape again. When I wrap it around a corner of a bubble envelope, I use scotch tape to keep it down.

When the tape arrived, it turned out to be the lighter weight clear packing tape, thinner from what I had been using in the past (from 3-M as I recall). When I use up these 6 rolls, I'll likely order the thicker tape next time (for a very small increase in cost). Otherwise everything is good with the product.

I was hesitant to get tape that wasn’t a well known name brand. I sell online and mail out quite a few packages per week. This tape is sticky enough and holds up really well. No issues at all.
